This "so-called" music school is a disgrace, a waste of students' time and parents' resources. The…read morewhole place is shabby and run down, and one can clearly see that the management was cutting corners to save a dime in everything. Dirty premises, plastic keyboards instead of acoustic pianos, underpaid and underqualified teachers, no performing facility, unprofessional forms and rude staff, most of which are relatives - how could it be even worse? Well, they may have just outdone themselves. Children, otherwise gifted, may have their musical potential ruined by the instruction they receive at this school. Only in the United States - such so-called school would be under criminal investigation in elsewhere. Stay away!

The idea of ear plugs for his sensitive ears. Picking out songs he likes so he can learn them with other kids. His teacher is great! And he is really enjoying it! The lessons are twice a week so it keeps drumming in his head. It feels like he is on his way to be in a kid band instead of stuck in a sound proof room playing patterns. We are very happy with the whole experience. The office manager is professional, smart and well organized. The teachers are talented and good to the kids. We will be here for a while! I look forward to my son's concerts in the future! PS - we have been to several concerts performed by a plethora of students. Very cool. Great experience!!

I don't understand this place. I got an initial call back to discuss how the place works, but then…read morescheduling a trial lesson was like pulling teeth-- calling, emailing, finally texting. Took forever. Got to the trial lesson only to be told the person we'd worked so hard to get wasn't available so it's with so-and-so. Uh. Fine, but we picked the other person for a reason. And booked another trial with the original teacher, only to get to THAT lesson and realize it's still not the instructor we'd been aiming for. While sitting during the lesson, another student walked in and was told "oh so-and-so is no longer with us so this other person will be your teacher today." What? So you're not told ahead of time? (The mom asked when they'd known this teacher was leaving and it was two weeks prior, but they didn't bother to give anyone notice.) I find it strange that you pay in advance for these situations. Anyway. It's too poorly managed for me, which is too bad because it is certainly a great concept.

Unfortunately our time with saxophones, trumpets, and violins didn't go so well. That's alright as not everyone is gifted musically. It's not huge, but they also sell guitars and other instruments. I trust their knowledge and high quality service. If you want sheet music, they have plenty of books for you. This is a community loved store for good reason! I find them to be a great value, and they've helped a lot of budding or people whom are musicians.

I am a huge fan of the ear training he gives them, this has allowed 3 of my children to learn to play other instruments much more easily! The location was a bit hard to find as I spent almost 15min driving around in circles (but that was neither here nor there). The classroom is absolutely adorable and fresh. They provided a little folder for my daughters music "homework" (which she loved). Since, I was just a groupon trial we did not get the tote or music book (but I totally understand that) but from what it looked like is if you took up true classes they provided that as well. If we were staying in the area I would def. sign her up for regular classes.

I came here yesterday upon the advice of my new music instructor. It's been years since I've played…read morethe violin and really wanted to get back into it. I'm 27 now and felt a little nervous about starting it up again so late in life. But then I met people who started it up in their late 30's and even later, so honestly, WHO CARES how old you are! Anyway, I didn't want to outright buy just any violin. I was advised to rent one first. So I walked into Brobst Music Store and was immediately helped by this wonderful woman. She was extremely knowledgeable about music and the violin. She spent her time in showing me the different models and played them each for me so I can compare the different sounds. She then let me go into the studio to play them myself. She was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. I ended up renting a beautiful German violin. I absolutely love their rental/purchase policy. It's very simple and transparent. The monthly rental cost of $24 applies towards the purchase price, should you choose to purchase it later, AND you can always upgrade to an even nice violin. Best part about that is that the full value of your current violin is applied towards the upgrade. This is perfect because I am seriously considering upgrading at some point to a nicer violin (my current violin costs around $1200, so it's comforting to know that I won't be losing any of that value). I also upgraded my strings for a one time fee of $33. The new thicker strings give me that deeper sound versus those strings on student quality violins, which I am not a fan of. Overall, this is a fantastic place for beginners and experienced musicians. I am beyond happy and can't wait to come back!

The price was much lower than other places that I've looked up. Considering the violin looks like it's very fragile, I also purchased the insurance for it. There was a lower price for long term rentals, as opposed to the monthly rentals. We took the 12 months rental which allowed my son to option to play during the summer when schools out. Unfortunately that strategy never panned out. Returning it at the end of our contract was quick and easy. Hand it in, he did a quick check and I was out the door in less than 10min TLDR; I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to rent a string instrument for their kids.
