Isaac did an awesome job with the reupholstery of four dining chairs. He helped me out on price with material he already had on hand. He chose a new firmer foam which has made the chairs much more comfortable. I was looking to recover my dining room chairs. I had this set for coming on 20 years and it was a large table we nicknamed the "Ponderosa" table. I was pricing locally in Truckee (getting expensive) and my husband suggested looking in Reno. We found Issac at Express! He helped us select the right fabric, drove to Truckee to pick up the chairs and return them at a very reasonable trip fee. I walked in to have my center console leather stretched and reattached to the plastic it was originally attached to. I was told it could be done and to come back in a couple hours. I have tried calling this business several times only get an answering machine, so I stopped by the address to speak to some one. There was no parking area as it was taken up by several vehicles having work done on the engines. Many engine parts and partial engines were laying on the ground in front of the building making it look more like a backyard mechanics shop than an upholstery shop. So I parked around the corner. The building looks more like a shanty than a business. Inside the building I found two cars in body restoration and a small area with a sewing machine, some fabric, car bumpers, other car parts and a yapping dog. In the adjacent building I found a small office area with no one to be found. The dog followed me and continued to yap loudly but no one came forward. It was obvious to me that this upholstery business has no business sense and would not be able to handle the upholstery of any antique furniture which I had hoped that they could do. If you are looking for a qualified business who can do responsible upholstery look elsewhere. read more

What a great place to have work done. His price about half of the others and, AND, he finished the job in one week a week ahead of his promised date. I had two new stools that reeked so bad of mothballs. He replaced everything and somehow cleaned the wood. We have no remaining odor and the stools are much prettier than the ones we brought in. There were also classic cars in various stages of work. There is a reason that the classic car owners are there, they are very particular and the a reason they are sitting in the Express shop. BTW, his crew are very proud of their shop as well. Pride = Quality. Based on our experience, Express was great in every way AND he was able to do estimate by messaging with photos. FYI, his estimate significantly less. No fancy smanchy decorator's shop, just hard working skilled workers who want to please and share pride in workmanship. Yup! We are happy, happy. read more
