I initially brought my bike in for Erik's to install new shifter cables in early Summer. After…read morethree trips and me explaining over and over how the shifter was supposed to work, they agreed to replace the shifter they broke when initially replacing the cables. IT WAS TECHNICALLY FUNCTIONING when I got it back after the fourth trip to the shop. However, the shifter they replaced did not have the heads-up indicator like the original one they broke. I spent 30 minutes online and found a brand new-in-box, original Shimano Deore Rapid Fire shifter with the heads-up indicator for $49. I am not a qualified bike mechanic. It took me 45 minutes to install and adjust the correct shifter. It's now back to where it was before I brought it earlier this Summer. I can't understand why I paid $380 for new cables and labor when an entire new shifter component is inexpensive. To claim that much in labor fees and make me come back four times is inexcusable. And in the end, I finally fixed it myself. Thanks for trying, Lucas, but I cannot change my opinion of the services I received at the Sioux Falls store. Not good at all.

Chatted with John and the owner Peter (both genuinely solid dudes) about snowboarding, gear we love and gear we don't, with zero sales pressure. Just honest and real rider to rider conversation. The customer service was so good I brought my whole setup in to have it looked over after some upgrades I made. No upselling, no BS just real feedback, genuine care and knowledge. I also watched them help another customer get into a more fitting board for them, not just letting the customer get what they thought they needed. That says everything They listen, they educate and they give you the best deal they can while making sure you're riding safely and correctly. Beginner or experienced, it doesn't matter. They'll fit your boots, dial in your setup, and make sure your gear is safe and enhancing your ride experience. I also bring my mountain/road bikes here for tune-ups and the experience is always top notch. This is what a local shop should be and the kind we need to support more. They will always look out for YOUR best interest.

This could have been avoided if there was some sort of bubble wrap or package wrap inside the box to protect the inside board during transportation. Inside of the shipping box (made of two separate boxes) only contained the board where it was able to move freely around without any support or padding inside. If this is your standard operating procedure for shipping, please do better. Now I have to submit a claim with UPS for the item I was very looking forward to all year.
