They do a decent job. Most of the time friendly. However, I made an appointment 30 mins after they opened. When i arrived there, there was no dogs. I assumed since my tiny dog got there that early with no other dog there, he would be done first and quickly. After 2.5 hours I called and was told he would be another hour because they had other dogs. So, making an appointment to be first of that day didn't make any difference as if I would just do a walk-in. When I asked why I needed an appointment if my dog was going to be pushed aside of other dogs, this little girl said they are trying their best and that there was other appointments too around the same time. I made it a point to mention that my dog arrived first and he should have been done first. Which is why i made the appointment first thing in the morning. She got rude and snippy again, to which I did say that they need to do better. If someone makes an appointment to be first in the morning then that dog should be done. They told me, the last time I took my dog there, that because I was a walk-in other dogs that had an appointment get done first. Now that I had an appointment, my dog still was left waiting. So very unhappy. I wont be coming back. Sad, because my dog has been going there for the last year and a half. I do not recommend! read more

S E R V I C E I asked for a puppy cut for my 16-year old Maltese. It was my first time where and I was surprised that they charge an extra $10 for senior dogs. We've never been to a groomer where they charge additional for being old. She came out nice and short but we didn't realize until we got home that her inner ears were not plucked. Other groomers have always plucked her ears but they were untouched. Overall an okay job with very nice people in about 2 hours time. L O C A T I O N They're located close enough where I was able to go home after I dropped my dog off. Thought about posting this review for some time but they never took responsibility and "manager" never even called back to talk about a solution with my cat. I now see other people have been through the same thing in this same place.. So I took my cats to get groomed a few weeks ago. but this is what they did to her, they literally chopped off her whole nail and and half of the other one, and it got infected I didn't really check on her when I picked her up (my mistake I know) because she's usually a shy cat and runs to hide doesn't really like people but she's never been mean, we have 2 toddlers and she has never scratch them or anyone else, we have always trimmed her nails and nothing has ever happened. But then we took them to get a good bath because we hadn't showered them in months. And she was kind of limping but since she was still a little wet from her paws I thought she was just trying to dry off her paw like my other cat did, the guy did show me that she scratched him because supposedly she got all panicked with the hair dryer, but I regret so much not checking her that day, also because I had been planning my brother in laws funeral so wasn't thinking much of it, until I saw her liking her paws and you could literally see her whole nail is chopped off and half of the other one, Took her to the vet and got antibiotics for her, also vet confirmed that the nail was oulled off, I called the place and they just said she could've done it at home or that they probably didn't even notice if she got hurt at their business. So after having her for a long time with us you're gonna tell me she now decided to hurt herself at my home right? Anyways, they didn't bother to ask how she was doing, didn't take responsibility at all, and manager was supposed to call me and never did, Just dont want other people's pet to go through the same thing.. I found out on nextdoor app that there's been other people affected by them as well. Now I really wonder if the "scratch " was really from my cat because she has never scratched anyone ever not even strangers. We also just asked for a sanitary trim in my persian cat and they also chopped it all off and left him looking like a stray lol but we just didn't have the energy to be dealing with a haircut that day. read more

I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews. We have been coming here since they opened under new ownership. We bring our dogs and cats here. They are quick, affordable, friendly and actually good. They love animals. They always make room for us. One time (out of the several times my cat has been in for baths) he was accidentally teeny tiny nicked and they called to tell me and showed me when I got there. I was like wow you called for that I've done worse myself and so have other groomers without telling me. They always do the best job. Will come here as long as I live in the area. read more

Literally so upset... my boyfriend took our golden doodle here because we just moved from Los Angeles. As soon as he dropped off the pup, he had a gut feeling our pup wasn't going to look great. We made sure that he wasn't matted, but they insisted he would likely need to be shaved, but would try. (We did have a beach day and he was wet and sandy on drop off and we know that's not easy, but that's why we took him to a "professional"). So I looked them up and saw a review where there was a horrible cut on a pups inner leg, not just a nick, but a very deep wound. What could we do? He was already dropped off. In about an hour they called and confirmed they were going to have to shave him down. They did honor trying to keep his head fluffy and round, but honestly he's had much cuter teddy bear cuts. When the front desk associate talked to us about it she told me the groomer working on him was peeved, which isn't very nice. We didn't notice the paw upon pickup, but as soon as we got home we realized just how horrible of a job they've done. I have never been to a groomers that has ever injured and damaged my pups nails before. Minor cuts are within reason, but look at how bad this is... his nails are clear. Only an amateur would shave down and past the blood vessels. I'm so over it, I will never ever give them my business again and neither should you. Your pups aren't safe and the groomers treat them like inconveniences. Shame on you Express Grooming... read more

I've taken my 8 month old Bengal kittens here twice to get their nails clipped and would definitely recommend! I was able to do a walk-in both times. The staff is friendly, and they're fast and efficient and affordable. My cats are a little more on the wild side and the staff has no problem handling them and getting their nails clipped quickly. Will be bringing them in soon for ear cleaning too! Love this place, 10/10 read more

I recently moved to Huntington Beach. I had the same groomer for a very long time she retired so I found Express grooming and very happy with them. I would recommend anybody taking their dog to Xpress grooming I have a senior Dog going blind and it has diabetes. They took their time and still he was out within two hours. Love love love this place !!! I have been to many groomers with my little toy poodle . And I can tell they truly take time to make my Barbie feel comfortable. She isn't shaking or crying when I drop her off . And every time I pick her up she is wagging her tail not shaking or barking like before at other places . I took my dog here to get her nails clipped. We she was finished the guy said she did great. When I got home there was blood everywhere in my backseat. I called him up and he said to bring her back so he could put powder on her paws. He tried to come up with excuses like "she has dark nails" and "she must have been running on concrete" and then adds "she also wouldn't sit still". She went straight from the store front to my car. She didn't run anywhere. I watched him clip her nails and I watched her. She was perfectly still for being 8 months old. Don't you dare blame my dog because you don't know what you're doing. I also witness another interaction where he was selling this woman some kind of allergy skin medicine and said to her that he would administer a shot to the dog. I recently took my 13 year old dog, Kobe, to Express Pet Grooming last Saturday (Oct 29) and I'm extremely pleased w the service and Kobe's hair cut! Everyone there was super nice, they have a vet tech working in the back and the groomer said he was used to working w difficult dogs and older dogs so I gave them a try. Kobe has had problems at groomers in the past - has seemed traumatized even, but Kobe was just fine when I went to pick him up and he looked absolutely fantastic! The groomer was especially patient. I also like that your dog comes in at the appointment time, is worked on right away and then released to you as soon as they are finished. Kobe's nails were over due for trimming and Express Pet Grooming did a great job filing them down even though Kobe usually pulls his paws away if you touch them.
