Pretty small space but very clean and has a decent seating area to wait in. As far as I could see there were no "standard" size washers. They also have an alteration shop in there. It's like a 22 minute wash time for the 20 and I think 30 pound washers. Took the clothes home to dry so I can't comment on those. read more

The most hostile laundry facility I've ever been to. I walked in 15 mins, with a comforter to wash, before close not realizing they closed at 7. At which point the male attendant nearly accosted me and acted confused as to why I would walk in with laundry. When I said "oh, sorry what time do you close". His response was "it's on the door". The owner stood there watching us try to figure out where to put the laundry detergent, so we wouldn't mess up the machine. He didn't try to help, just stood there watching us as if we were doing something wrong. We then told him the washing machine wasn't taking the quarters and we ended up putting more than needed because of that, and he had an attitude about, as if we were trying to get over on him. Another worker comes out to say she watched the camera and said us put the quarters in. Okay, so why not come help? Why make it seem like we were lying? The owner did end up giving us the extra money back, but he didn't want to and the lady didn't want him to either. All in all, they're nice to their regulars, not so much to other people. read more

The facility is clean. The woman who either is a manager or owner is rude as hell. I went to get change and said thank you 4 times with no much as a grunt for response. She was sizing up my 15 year old daughter when she didn't realize we were there together and instead of asking if she needed help she just rolled her eyes at her standing in front of the washer. My kids went to get change and the man in there didn't even respond to her thank you. If you are going to only be nice and helpful to "regulars" you may as well stay in your office area. Place is in an old KFC, lots of parking. But, the staff is very rude. Anther customer had trouble opening the washer door and didn't want to break it, the male staff treated the customer like be was a dumb a$$. - Just do your laundry and leave. read more

Incredibly big, bright laundry. and it has a large amount of various size washer and dryers. The Sunday we were there the two individuals working were very helpful and continually came out to clean the place as groups left. I would definitely use this place again if I'm in the area. read more

I travel the whole United States for my job and have done laundry everywhere from New York to San Francisco and the machines here are hands down the fastest I've ever seen! I enjoy coming to this laundromat because it's the closet to my house. I like that it's clean and the washers and dryers are efficient. However, the female owner is not friendly at all! I've went out of my way on several occasions to be nice to her, but I never get much out of her. I go out of my way to speak to her and thank her for giving me quarters so that I can do my laundry. I never get a response from her. You can at least can say "hello" and "thank you", that's basic customer service. I expect more from an owner. She needs to know the value of her customers. I always feel like I'm bothering her when I need something. I dread going there when she's there. As an owner, she needs to do better and smile every now and then. It's not that hard. The male owner is much more approachable and friendly at times. I decided to write this review because I felt she needed to know, so that she can hopefully do better. I know I'm not the only one that has experienced this type of service from her. There are plenty of other laundromats in town! Update: So, I actually visited this establishment this morning. And, to my surprise, she actually does know how to interact with "some" people. Sadly, it's a select few. I notice she only helped "certain" customers in a friendly manner. I'll just leave it as that because I'm not trying to make this review about race, it's enough of that going on in the world now. It's just sad to get treated horribly by your own. I've never had such an awful experience doing laundry as I did at this establishment. While sorting my clothes into the washers, my two year old (in typical two year old fashion) was peering into the washers nearby to see what's inside. There was no one else doing laundry, so he couldn't have been bothering anyone, but an employee came over and told me he can't touch the machines because if he closes his fingers in one, they aren't liable. Okay. My family travels full time, so we go to laundromats regularly, and it's never been an issue before, but I humor her. I have him sit down in the chairs directly behind me while I sort more clothes. She comes out a minute later yelling at me because he has stood up on the chair to peer out the window behind him. I said okay and ask him to sit down, which he does. She continues lecturing me for a good five minutes. I'm not even exaggerating. She wanted me to know, loud and clear, that it was my job to watch my child at all times and that this was not a daycare center. I was completely bewildered. I'm no spring chicken. I'm nearly forty with 3 well behaved young children (my older 2 were quietly working on school work at the tables nearby). I could not believe how she was talking to me (like I was a child in need of reprimand). After five minutes of listening to her rant, I had to tell her that I don't have time to stand here and argue with her. She said, "I'm not arguing, but I need you to realize...", and she continued her rant. Talk about beating a dead horse. This woman has no business working with the public. She obviously has no common sense or self control. I've worked in customer service in the past, and I would NEVER speak to a customer with such disrespect. I will never go back to this laundromat, and I will be sure to warn anyone interested that THIS IS NOT A CHILD FRIENDLY BUSINESS! DO NOT TAKE KIDS HERE! This is by far the premier Laundromat in the Williamsburg area. Impeccably clean and sanitized, well-run, with a helpful manager always onsite. The machines are excellent - high capacity, fast, well maintained, regularly replaced when needed. The layout is functional with a separate eating, reading, and working area, food and beverage vending machines, numerous large folding tables, and convenient carts. Plenty of adjacent parking is available. A first-rate, well run business. read more

Had a great experience here today. I used to use Soaps N Suds on Monticello Road, which was okay, but I could barely tolerate the TVs blasting silly daytime shows. Very hard to read or concentrate with all the noise. Express Laundry was great. It was crowded when I got there, which made me a little nervous about being able to get the machines I needed, but I had no problems. And the crowd thinned out completely within about an hour. Not only does Express Laundry have a separate seating/waiting area that's away from the machines, but the music on the PA is pleasant and not loud. No TVs! :-) The gentleman who helped me--I assume he is the owner--was very professional and very helpful. And the machines are super fast. Very fast washers which appear to extract a lot of the water, and thus, the drying time is very fast. I will definitely go back here the next time I have large items to wash. read more
