I hired Cabinet Refresh in late 2025 and again in early 2026 to:…read more - paint and install new hardware on cabinetry - install new countertop - install new tile backsplash I was very pleased with their pricing, communication, and quality of service. There were lots of different folks required (each expert) at their own area for the above work, but I did feel like they each knew what the other was doing and I was kept up to date by either the owners or my service rep. I also like that they are a small business - I felt my project was important to them even though it was not the "biggest" (especially since I broke it into 2 phases for my own budget planning). I'm VERY happy with my updated kitchen and would work with them again.

POOR PLANNING, POOR EXECUTION…read more We needed our kitchen cabinets resurfaced. This outfit was understaffed, showed poor planning, poor judgement, unprofessional job standards, and poor clean-up. The good news is they fixed all the problems ... well, mostly. The bad news is that there were just so many problems, causing endless delays. Staff was not available; planning was improvised and sloppy (requiring work to be redone again and again); work quality was indifferent. In the end I had to finish the clean-up, and I'm still fishing loose steel screws out of the cabinet shelves. Delays turned the promised 3-day job into 8 working days spread over two weeks, leaving us with no kitchen and a house mess for much longer than we planned. In the end, we got our kitchen cabinets resurfaced, and it looks fine. But what a frustrating, amateur road we travelled to get there. Cannot recommend this outfit.

I liked the samples he had, so I gave him a call. Paul himself answered the phone and set up an appointment to assess the situation. He showed up on time, had great suggestions and gave me an estimate for the work that same day. I agreed to the estimate, and he started work on the project right away. Again, he showed up on time and got right to it. He and his guys put in three full days of hard work. They were neat and professional and got the job done in short order. The fence and rails are beautiful and sturdy. Beyond the professionalism and craftsmanship, I was very impressed with Paul's adaptability and positive attitude. Midway through the project, I changed my mind on a pretty major design detail. Paul totally embraced the new idea. He didn't complain or try to gouge me on the cost. He gave it some thought, made a few adjustments and made it happen. He's a hard working, honest craftsman. I'll use him again in a heartbeat.

The entire job only took about four hours with clean-up total. Hmmm, maybe some new gates next!

The last meeting I had was with Fabiola and Cesar. They were generous with their knowledge, making practical suggestions, offering to answer questions later even if I didn't go with them. They were so real that I almost couldn't believe they were real! When their bid came back within our budget I just had a huge sense of relief. Amazingly, these good feelings continued throughout the entire construction process. One of the most valuable aspects of working with Conber was the clear communication with us, always letting us know what to expect, checking in just to see if we have any questions. They also had great communication and respect for and from their crew, keeping the construction moving smoothly. Of course their work quality is superb, their attention to detail acute (all while making sure the styles is what you like), but what I remember feeling the most was that I trusted them, which is priceless.

By far THE BEST experience my family has had when it comes to working with contractors. From the…read morefirst time meeting with Fabiola and Cesar when getting the estimate/quote up until the project was completed... it was such a smooth and stress free experience. A kitchen and living room renovation has been in discussion for some time and it was just a matter of finding the right company for the job. We've had some eh experiences with prior contractors with projects at the house so it left an impression that kept us hesitant to look. This was not the case with Conber. During the estimate they gave their suggestion as to what would work as far as what my wife was envisioning. They were very organized from the start. Taking measurements, writing notes, really going in depth as far as the project was concerned. Fabiola and Cesar answers all our questions and suggested what would work and what wouldn't and approximately how long it would take. We've told them our previous experience where the time took so much longer for whet was actually done. They said our renovation would be done it approx 6 weeks. Our previous renovation that was completed took 6 months and it was much smaller than the task we presented to Conber ! So you better believe we wanted to hire Fabiola and Cesar's company . They got back to us with the quote very quick and then we went from there. Fast forward to start of demolition.. The staff that Conber had working were so good! The timeliness, organization, and cleanliness of the job were on point! They said they'll be there at a certain time, they were there way before said time. They kept the demo mess where it belonged and it didn't find its way into places it didn't need to be. The next step after the demolition was no different. They continued to be organized and efficient and always showed up in a timely fashion. We appreciated the fact that we knew what time to expect them and what time their end of day was. And it was always consistent unless we were notified. Which is a huge plus to me. Another game changer was the fact that either Fabiola or Cesar would show up in the morning and at end of the working day to check on progress. That showed me that the project was just as important to them as it was to us. They also were just a phone call or text away so reaching them was never an issue. Don't want the review to be much longer than it is already but the end product was nothing short of amazing. They gave a new life to the house. Everyone is so happy with the finished product. The only bad part of it all is that we won't be seeing Fabiola, Cesar, and the crew daily, it was something my daughter got used to. To sum it all up we are glad we went chose Comber and we will not hesitate to reach out to them again for future projects. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for home projects. Thank you Conber !

Gary will pull every required permit BEFORE the works get done, and he will pass his Building and Safety inspections in a timely and professional manner, the pricing will be fair and honest, and you'll probably make a genuine friend at the end of it all (I know I did). The pride Gary takes in his work and business is evident from start to finish of any job - from his fantastic energy, the quality products and tools that he uses, the attention to detail on every little aspect, and above all else his work ethic. He will be the first one on the job site ready to work and the last one to leave with it cleaner than he found it, and he'll only take Sunday off to RIDE MARATHONS! Now that's the kind of beast we need more of in this land of unlicensed "handymen" and lazy crooks. I dealt with many different contractors throughout the construction process for my new business, even had to report some to the State Contractor's License Board for poor workmanship. When Gary took over is when everything started coming together. He can truly do it all - or on the rare occasion he can't, he knows the right guy for the job. When we started my project, the building had basically been abandoned for a decade and left to the termites. But Gary came in and reframed the entire building, patched all the stucco, redid ALL the drywall, replaced the windows and doors and even an entire wall that was only a few inches away from an adjacent building and so inaccessible (MAGIC!) Termites fear this man let me tell you. He also painted the entire building inside and out, remodeled my bathroom to ADA standards and with some beautiful tile work, and really classed up the place with impeccable trimwork. I could go on and on, but I'm sure the message is clear - if you have a big job, Gary is the General you want at your side.
