We placed an order for a conservatory roof with Express Garden Rooms in June 2023. We paid a deposit of nearly £4,000 for the work. In July, the company applied for voluntary strike off; we contacted Duncan and were reassured that work would still take place, only under a new company name -- Superior Roof Systems -- and that new contracts were being drawn up that day. To cut a long story short, we have been given a string of excuses ever since. No work has been done, despite assurances that we were "over the last hurdle" and there has been no communication from the company since September, despite repeated requests for an update. We have since asked for a refund, but this has been ignored. Our next steps will involve the police, and court. To say we're disappointed is an understatement. We've lost a substantial amount of our savings. I will steer clear of any companies the owner or his associates are connected with, now and in the future.
Update: After contacting every authority we could and connecting with other reviewers, Duncan made contact and refunded me. However, nobody else has been refunded -- not one person -- and there are currently five of us that know of each other, each out of pocket between £4700 and more than £9000.
