Express Fuel is hard to spot from US 50 especially in the West Bound direction. It's a relatively new facility with wide pump lanes and an feeling that the price per gallon is an advantage Gayle and I stopped here for fuel and a comfort break on the way home last night. The price for regular was OK, and I ended up paying inside as no less than 3 pumps refused to work and bent my card as I was trying to pull it out. 10/18/2022: G & O Autobody Shop warned me only use "Touchless Car Wash" due to my Toyota 4-Runner endured a body paint job last September 2022 in order, allowing the body paint curing for ninety (90) days. Undoubtedly, I heeded the warning and didn't wash my truck. Unfortunately, CalTrans has been busily constructing all highways and thoroughfares, since the beginning of 2021/2022 emitting a plethora of incessant debris, dust, and gargantuan rocks deflecting on unsuspecting windshields so, it was imperative washing my truck before replacing the windshield at Safelite-AGAIN . . . Sadly, the proverbial, renown eye rolls incessantly ensuing due to the realization, reluctantly digging deep into my limited finances . . . Augh! FYI: Using Express Fuel's Touchless Car Wash is my second time visiting this type of car wash which is still surprisingly affordable, i.e., $14.99 for the Ultimate Car Wash. The Touchless Car Wash will suffice until, I have my truck completely detailed next month; my truck appeared clean after the Touchless Car Wash completed its washing procedure. Overall, I'm pleased with the Touchless Car Wash's cost washing my truck, the thorough elimination of CalTrans' dust, dirt, and rocks are now passé, and also, Express Fuel's Touchless Car Wash is just a few miles drive from Placerville's Safelite where I must drive to my scheduled 2:30 PM appointment replacing the blasted, egregiously expensive, windshield replacement! read more

We camped in the El Dorado Springs area at some Hipcamps without sewage hookup and used Campendium to find this place. The fee at $50 (quoted 3/23/25) is outrageous. We will gladly go elsewhere. read more

When this station originally opened, it was very high in price. After sometime, they reduced their gas prices to be competitive with ARCO. I was happy to buy gas there even though I knew they could be a lot cheaper given no federal or state taxes. Then a few years ago, their prices went back up to way above normal prices, price gouging again. Now a few months ago , they dropped their prices to be competitive again. I filled up my motor home for $125, and went to pay for an rv dump. It used to be $10. Now they want $50!!!!! I just gave them 125 and they want 50 for a dump. Price gouging again. Can't trust these guys at all. read more

I was down to less than 3 gallons in my gas tank. I needed to refuel soon, so I hopped off the freeway and stopped here. It was my first time at Express Fuel. If you are wondering, Express Fuel is a gas station that opened about 3 years ago. It is owned and operated by Red Hawk Casino which is right up the road on the other side of Highway 50. The exit is 39, Shingle Springs Drive. The gas station is by itself in a rural setting. To sum it up, Express Fuel offers gasoline (regular, premium, and diesel), convenience store, car vacuum stations, and car wash (touch less). The gas prices are are higher than Costco or Arco and more on par with Chevron and Shell. The pumps are open 24 hours. But the store closes from 10 pm-6am. During those hours, payment for gas are card transaction only at the individual pump. The interior of the store was tidy. No frills, no decor. The store offerings are typical of any other gas station mini mart.When I stopped here last week, the staff were wearing masks and the majority of customers were not. Due to the gas pricing, I wouldn't necessarily stop here again unless I was in a pinch. read more

$50 FOR USING THE RV DUMP??? That is ridiculous. We have been here to use the RV dump numerous times because we prefer to give our money to Native Americans when we can. It has always been $15 in the past. The woman behind the counter lied and said they raised it from $30 to $50. We would never have paid $30 and certainly won't pay $50. Won't be back. read more

DO NOT DUMP YOUR RV HERE. First of all they charge $30 which is ridiculous! The kid up front told me they had to double their prices because their pump got vandalized and they have to recoup their losses (why is that the customers' problem?) - then I stupidly agree to pay the $30 and when we dump our sewage the drainage pipe immediately gets backed up and overflows, splashing up all over us, and flooding the area. Turns out the pipe under the dump site doesn't go straight down but has an L-shaped elbow to it so it easily got backed up and flooded. SO DISGUSTING and unsafe. I told the store manager what happened and she refused to refund us. I asked her to call the owner and she still said no. So I basically paid $30 to get splashed with sewage -___- AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

I do not recommend using the RV dump service here. We checked rvdumps.com to look for reasonably priced dumping stations and found Express Fuel offered this service for $30. We felt it was a little high, but willing to pay it as it was on our way home. We paid for gas and asked for the dump service. The register clerk quoted us $50!! We referenced the website that had their dump rate at $30 and the clerk said, "Oh, I know. We've been trying to get that updated, but you know...". Since we are new to using these types of dump services, we paid it and then had to wait in line to use the service. As we were waiting, we had time to look for other gas stations who offer this service and found one less than a mile away for $25. Ugh! We went back to the clerk to let them know we are still waiting to dump, but since we haven't used the service yet, could we get a refund? The clerk said "No". I asked if she could ask her manager. The assistant manager came up and said "our policy is no refunds". So, even if you decide not to use the service, you do not get a refund. The whole situation was very frustrating! I can see now that I am not alone in my experience. I should have checked Yelp first!! read more

Great price on fuel however you may have to deal with numerous idiots that can't follow the arrows to direct them to the pump and you may be confronted by staff that wants to support people not following the arrows when you call them out for not following the arrows. It makes pumping your gas completely frustrating when you have to back up for some idiot that can't go the rules while fuel their car/trucks especially when your made out to be the ass for following the rules. I get that it's not governed by rules of the road but it's just off the highway so how is it that people suddenly ignore everything that we learn before getting a license!!!! Not to mention that shortly after getting gas here I had a check engine light com on due to fuel system!!!! I wonder if they are adding water to their tanks? Will never stop here again! read more

Stopped by here on the way to Lake Tahoe. It said, the cheapest gas . My gas tank had little more than half so, I fill it up to full. Plus for $3.29 and came out $36 . Last time I went to Costco for gas, same amount $3.29 for plus only came out $25 . It was half tank empty. It doesn't feel right like I got cheated. The worst part is, I was the only person wearing a mask. I had to Lysol spray before putting the gas in my car . Very unsafe. What's wrong with these people. Please put on the damn mask . read more

I look forward to this station opening. It's in a great location for a quick in and out. But, the place needs maintenance badly. 1. Clean up the area around the pumps. Between fuel drips and accumulated food it's slippery in spots. 2. Clean the credit card readers on the pumps so we don't hold up the line going into the store where you have yet another line. 3. If you are going to change a price why do it when the station is crowded. It's obvious from reading other reviews no one from Express Fuel is monitoring this site. I say, we boycott until this station is safe and respects the customers. Lots of other stations in the area with good prices. Use your Gas Buddy app for other locations. read more

I was really looking forward to Express Fuel in Shingle Springs, but so far it's a disappointment. The card readers at the pumps are fickle, the lines are long and slow, both to get gas and even worse to get a car wash. I brought my dad's truck to get a quick wash and purchased it at the pump, but when I got to the car wash, there was a line about 5-6 cars long. "No big deal," I thought to myself, reasoning that a car wash might take two to three minutes per car. A half-hour later, only two cars had moved forward, and I finally bailed because I didn't want to wait an additional hour to finally get the car wash. I don't know what was taking so long, but when only two cars move through a car wash in 30 minutes, something's not right. I could have gone to Quick Quack or somewhere in Placerville and been done with it in that amount of time. read more

After a long wait this gas station has finally opened. Great freeway access with a car wash (I haven't used that service yet, but plan on it). Everything is shiny and new, from the gas pumps to the convenient store. My only "issue" is with their pricing. My understanding was that since this gas station is run by the local Native American tribe, that the gas prices would be slightly lower than the competition (since they don't have to pay many of the extra taxes that other gas stations have to pay). So far, their pricing is about $.20 higher than the competition. So other than the convenience of location, I'm going to wait and see if their prices get in line with my expectations. read more

How is it, that you're able to sell car wash services at the gas pump - yet not have it opened. I find that if your car wash has certain hours of operation, the gas pumps ability to purchase those services should mirror those hours. Purchased a car wash that I can't use. read more

Prices are good. Fuel is good. Maintenance is horrible. Half the pumps are broken and they never fix them. They've been open less than a year & I was so excited, but I'm not waiting in line. So now I just drive by & go to Arco. What a shame. read more

It is new & I am pretty sure it is the cheapest priced gas around the area. The car wash is very affordable compared to other car washes. It is 10 bucks for the most expensive one and it is touch less. Don't know if it is considered a Top-Tier Gas Supplier so I might not be always filling up here. read more

Gas station usually has cheap fuel, but ALWAYS crowded. Gas pumps pumps extremely slow, and most wont let you kick stand them so you have to hold the pump the whole time. Workers behind the counter give special treatment to certain customers and when their pumps aren't accepting cards (which happens often) they won't run your card inside unless you give them a specific amount up front. They won't just hold the card or authorize it like every other gas in the world. And they're more concerned about running cigarettes between the gas station and Red Hawk casino. With this service, I won't frequent their casino either. read more

Good gas prices, great location with tons of room to maneuver large vehicles/trailers, and the staff is always friendly.

We have been buying gas and other items from Express since they have opened on our way to South Lake Tahoe Home and again when traveling to San Jose. Stopped April 2 to purchase gas and my 72-year-old wife who has some medical issues asked to use the restroom. The lady at the counter was very polite and said she would ask the manager or owner. My wife was denied use of the restroom. Additionally, I could not use the men's room to wash my hands from pumping gas. This was totally wrong I understand the Covid-19 crisis, but you should not be denied access to rest rooms if they are willing to sell gas and food products. I will never patronize this Express Fuel Station, and I implore others not to patronize them. read more

Got some gas here. Went in for coffee and breakfast. Reheated breakfast sandwich price was not marked and rang up at 3.50. Sandwich was still cold when I ate it and coffee was really diluted. Fine for fuel I guess... although I have no idea what the quality is. If you're looking for higher quality stop at another station in the area. read more
