While we knew what style of photography we wanted, we had no idea how to achieve them. My husband's one request was a photo of the bridal party that looked liked a "cast shot" from a TV show. They ran with the idea, found a gorgeous background, posed the 14 person party, and captured a great moment. Throughout the whole day, they were always thinking of creative angles and set ups to capture every moment. After the ceremony (we did the photos before), they proactively found scenes to photograph, truly working for the full 8 hours we had hired them. The benefits did not end with the night however. More than a thousand photographs (without the annoying watermarks) were edited and uploaded to our personal website (with an app) before we were even home from our honeymoon. Given that our friends and families are spread throughout the country and world, it was so easy to share the photos by just sending them the link. A while back, I contacted Chipheads for a comparison quote on the replacement of a laptop keyboard and frame after a water spill fried a touchpad. The first place I had visited for a quote was a lovely one-man shop that quoted me $300 minimum for the repair - and that was with full awareness that I'd already purchased my own replacement parts and therefore all cost on his part was purely labor. He also communicated clearly that accessing the keyboard area required moving multiple parts he was not entirely familiar with and laughed that he would have to give me the $2000+ laptop he'd tried to sell me if the repair didn't go well. I left the establishment unconvinced of his capability to fix my also $2000+ design powerhouse that had not left my side since I got her. Enter Chipheads. I contacted via the general email address on the website, outlining the general situation and requesting a quote. Chipheads teammate Scott responded, and the quote he gave was comparable. I then emailed to confirm that I'd ordered the right parts before making the decision to put my laptop basically in the hospital right before I was going to be gone for a full two weeks, so I wouldn't be able to get her back even if the parts were wrong and repairs could not be done. Scott never responded to that email, and I had to leave for my out-of-town event. When I'm home, I rely on my laptop heavily, so dropping off when I'm not occupied with an event is not ideal. When another long event came up on my schedule, I contacted Chipheads again, this time creating a new email thread directing back to the general email address - the previous thread had directed to Scott's email address after we connected. I admit that I was hoping that I would connect with Jarret this time, and I did. He responded not only quickly but also giving me the option of a two-week repair period for less than $200. I'd be occupied with my event for exactly that amount of time anyway, so this was perfect. When I arrived the day before my event started, Jarret was with another guest. Both the impression that the first shop had given me about the delicate nature of my repair and my own experience in tinkering with laptops and electronics in general added to why I specifically waited to speak directly with Jarret given the impression of reliability he gave me in our correspondence. I dropped my laptop off with Jarret the day before my event started. Less than 48 hours later, he called to let me know that my laptop was ready for pickup. That was back in August. I specifically waited to ensure that the laptop was in perfect working order before leaving a review. It's now October. Safe to say, my laptop is in good health. Dropping one star for Scott dropping the ball on communication. Regardless, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Chipheads for your repair and upgrade needs.

That is the feeling I was left with after speaking with this establishment. Had an issue with my laptop's performance and was about to begin upgrading everything by deductive reasoning. Spoke with this business and they were VERY HONEST with me. We did some troubleshooting and they explained to me why it may be time to just consider replacing my laptop. They don't sell computers, they repair them. They definitely knew more than I could acquire through YouTube University so they could have easily taken my money, but they were honest and gave me options that would satisfy my goal but be cost effective as well. Their consistency is unmatched when it comes to quality and customer service, my two favorite things. With my latest printing request, I decided to contact a local printer instead since it was a smaller job (but still, a very important job). And the nightmare began-- with the local shops my emails were going unanswered, quotes were being delivered weeks later, and when I was finally able to get a response from someone and my product printed, I was disappointed (to say the least) with the results. I even had the local shop re-print...but round two was still not up to my admittingly high standards. So, I did what I should have done in the first place, and I contacted Richfield Printing. Mike gladly accepted my job and patiently answered my extensive questions. The job was printed the next day, and I was provided a tracking number the day after that. Two days later, the package arrived. I must say-- I was a bit nervous after the stress and negative results I'd experienced with the local printers. I opened the box and was immediately pleased with the care that went into the packaging. My product was beautifully separated, wrapped, and protected. (A very nice surprise compared to the way the previous shop had rubber-banded and thrown the product into a paper bag.) Based on the presentation, I knew what came next had to be good...and it sure was. Upon immediate glance, everything looked great...in fact, too great. I was so used to disappointment, this all seemed too good to be true. So I went back to look at every single piece, searching for error, but I found nothing. Only perfectly printed and assembled sheets of paper. Wow. With the abundance of quick-stop print shops, it's a very special thing to find a quality shop like Richfield Printing. Their work is AMAZING, their style is AMAZING, the experience you will have with them will be AMAZING. Where do I start...? We have had DnK shoot photos for us about 5 times now and the results have been superb every time! When we first met DnK we were looking for a wedding photographer. We met with about half a dozen photographers in the Twin Cities and DnK were the only ones who seemed to be really enthusiastic about our big day. That was a big plus, of course, but even better than that they went out their way to understand our ideas for the big day even though it was just our initial meeting and we hadn't made any commitments to them yet. My wife and I got a of confidence, very quickly, that they would do a fantastic job for us. The wedding photos turned out perfectly, better than we could have hoped. We had a lot of ideas ourselves but Dan and Karin both came up with really fun and cool ideas on the fly, all of which came out wonderfully. Dan is great at the action shots and coming up with unique ideas in real time as he sees folks interacting and moving around. Karin's portraits and group shots are second to none and her detail shots are sensational. Together they make such a great team and compliment each other really well. We also had the videography option too and that also blew us away. On the big day Dan and Karin were on time (important! :o) and they did a great job or organizing everyone. My wife is a musical theatre actress, she has had them shoot her promotional shots for her website and they also shot the photos for a production at The MN History Theatre which have been used two years in a row by the theatre. That was in 2010, they've been nominated for all sorts of stuff now because they deserve it! As luck would have it, they were available the day we needed! They were so prepared when we met, but prepared like photographers are, somewhat disorganized, but they knew were everything was but totally on top of it. They were quit the duo to watch. They had their business side down, pricing was prepared, photos were in hand, they knew each others strengths so they let the other focus on their side of the business. We started asking all the "suppose to ask questions" wedding sites suggest you ask, but quickly just started talking. We connected, it was great. What really sold me was I asked "Come on, you have some crazy bridezilla moments, right?" The response was amazing after giggling at the question, "we haven't had any because those are not the types of brides we attract." - they said it much more professional though. The turn around time on the photos was as expected, email response was as expected (note brides - you are not the business's only customer, don't expect an answer for every little question within 24 hrs no matter the business you are talking to), but the quality of our photos by far surpassed expectations. The photo booth was a gem, the candid photos they caught captured the people's personality to a T. Most of all the photos of my husband and I captured our relationship and the mood of the day just perfectly.
