We started out is what I thought was going to be a negative review has turned quite the opposite…read more I booked this particular hotel almost solely because they had an airport shuttle and would be convenient as I had a late night arrival. I landed circa 11:46 PM, then called for the shuttle. I was informed at the shuttle stopped operating at 11:30 PM. This, of course, was contrary to what the website said. As a result, I took an overpriced ($30.00 [crazy, huh]) cab approximately 1 mile to the hotel. The next morning, I went downstairs and spoke with the manager Dwayne who did explain that the shuttle stopped operating 11:30 PM, but compensated me for the cab ride. No argument, nothing, just paid me back the money I spent. You don't find that kind of accountability too often in the hospitality business. With respect the hotel, the room is fine, the lobby is fine, everything is fine. It's exactly what you expect from a courtyard by Marriott. The only caution staying here, is be aware that the shuttle stops at 11:30 PM. It doesn't start until 4:00 AM.

He told us all about the city, certain landmarks, and even where to eat. His energy was great. Once we entered the hotel we were greeted by Lenelle , and baby let me tell you. Her energy was over the top, she immediately greeted me , knew my name, that's made me feel great. We needed an early check in and she was happy to assist. This little lady took all four of are bags as we waited for our room to be ready. While waiting for our room, I began a conversation with my husband regarding lunch, Ms Tia who was cleaning immediately jumped in and provided some nearby suggestion. She also helped me with my location setting on my cell phones. This place is great, the people are amazing. I would STRONGLY recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites to anyone looking for a great place to stay. UPDATE: Tia was the wonderful beautiful queen who helped me with the location of my phone, I was mistaken when I was given the name Marcella , it was the beautiful queen Tia

Very disappointing experience at the Hampton Inn Houston Airport…read more Around 1 AM during our stay, a giant roach fell onto my husband's face while we were sleeping disgusting). We immediately contacted the front desk. While we were offered another room, it was the middle of the night before a travel day, so relocating was not practical. Unfortunately, the bigger issue was how the situation was handled. Both the front desk and management focused more on explaining where the roach "came from" than expressing concern or apologizing. Our room also had not been vacuumed or properly cleaned during the stay, and we had to retrieve our own towels due to the hotel's no-housekeeping policy. I understand hotels can occasionally have pest issues, especially in humid climates. What disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and professionalism in responding to the people situation. Management did provide a credit for one room night after I followed up following my travel day, but overall this was not the level of hospitality I expected, and I would be reluctant to stay at this property again.

We were given hotel vouchers and were happy to find that the DoubleTree was conveniently close to the airport. The airport shuttle picked us up quickly, making an already stressful evening much easier. Our room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after a long day of travel. Since our luggage wasn't with us, the staff kindly provided toothbrushes and toothpaste, which was a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. We also had breakfast at the hotel, and the food was very good. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The next morning, the gentleman driving the airport shuttle was especially personable and made the ride back to the airport enjoyable. Even though our visit was unplanned, the outstanding hospitality turned a frustrating travel delay into a comfortable and positive experience. We truly appreciate the excellent service and would gladly stay here again.

I had a salmon salad and also a quesadilla and beers during my day. The food is really very good and the service is kind of engaging. The shuttle to the airport is very timely on the half hour. The only real concern is the engagement with the front desk staff. As I arrived early in the day and got to the desk at noon, when ask if I was checking in, the first response was well it's way too early for check-in. You're going to have to wait at least two hours for a room. Instead of checking me in and letting me know that they could contact me when a room was ready. She suggested I find something to do and come back two hours later. Which I did. Was my room ready before that two hour time.? Who knows. Only the front desk staff. On another occasion, I was greeted with a less than friendly exchange. Being the face of the property, one would think there would be a greater sense of care.

Low class customer service. I've never experience this kind of treatment ever when reservation is…read morealready booked. I came in late from a long day and needed a 2 nights stay from 5/27/26 to 5/29/26. So I booked my reservation on Booking.com like I normally do. A King room for two nights with taxes came out to 235.73. So I prepaid in advance before arriving. Went to the counter to check in, then told the employee front desk, I already have a reservation...that alone should tell you behind the desk to look in the system to see. Nooooo, but you want my I.D., ask for my bank card...for Whattttttt....Only for incidentals should be. Like Bruh............. money hard to come by these days. So you charge me directly for a two nights THAT I already paid for. AND, she was rushing for my card too....are you blind/Deaf...ONLY IF YOU heard me the first time. So I argued for my refund. I didn't want to stay at this place no more for that reason. Not to mention I come at least 3-4 times a year. Never had any problems in the past like this. Either she's New and never was trained when people Say they have a Paid reservation, what to look for, or that I was brand new and didn't know how to check my bank after she just charged me now Additional. That shi* pissed me off to where I never want to stay there again. Bank funds don't go back until 3-4 days type of deal. Bottom line is, you have to do better with your services to keep your customers coming back, because they are the ones paying your bill. No apologies either, just saying she didn't see it. Well, I want the rest of my money refunded back and don't care to use their business ever again based on that One incident.

Bad electrical meters. Not tailored for long-term residents. Gate never works. Price increase with no increase in amenities. Differential pricing for who they want. No actual wifi. The UGLY: They fired Agnes, an older woman who cared so much for the residents and the park. She did her job well. She fielded our complaints and defended management but was let go when new management came. When Hurricane Beryl hit, we were without power and water for 10 days. Park management did NOTHING to support us within those days. A fallen tree and power line blocked the only entrance/exit. Long-term residents tried to remove it, but we were scolded via email for touching a tree that could have a live wire. The email seemed to be sent for liability purposes and not because we were trapped. The fire dept. had to step in and remove it because it was a hazard. Despite running off an independent well, we had no water for 10 days. We filled our FW tanks and for many of us, it wasn't enough. Long-termers gathered together and filled a personal storage tank to share with anyone in the park who needed water. (I think this should have been done by park management.) The park did not prepare well enough for the storm. They could have secured generators for the well but supposedly, something went wrong with the rental company. For an area that experiences power outages every heavy storm, you would think they would invest in that. We spent $200* on gas to power our generators. When the electricity bill came around, there was no price decrease... I THINK the park received FEMA funds, but we saw no reimbursement or credits. Electricity- The meters near the dumpsters don't work. They guess-estimate usage and charge you what they want. This is great for some, but unfair and indicative of their poor infrastructure. With every heavy storm, the power goes out. Water well - They are routinely doing maintenance on it. They shut the water off couple times a month it's ridiculous. Family Friendly - It is not. Little to no kid events. Kids aren't allowed in hot tub even with supervision. We don't have kids, but we did appreciate seeing the kids ride bikes and play. It brings life to the park. Sadly, kids can't ride bikes/play outside without supervision. Stupid rule IMO. WIFI - you have to get a passcode EVERY month for EVERY device. I call customer service, and they act like there's no free witi. They don't explicitly say it, but they'll push their plans onto you to pay extra... disgusting. I wonder how many people they've gotten with that scam. Storage - With new management, they got stricter with having items in your lot. You can't store boats, even with covers. BBQ pits need covers, etc, etc. The silliest rule: your generator cant be visible... at a park that loses power regularly. GATE/ Crime - I got my car stolen in Fall 2024. That night they hit/tried every vehicle. I dont think the gate is to blame. The gate just never works so it stays open for whoever to drive in. Pricing - one main reason we are leaving is due to the pricing. They increased rent but with no increase in amenities. The dog park is horrible. Water well continuously goes out. Differential pricing, at one point my uncovered spot was the same as the covered spots. Newcomers pay $400*/ month from a promotion, but we're stuck paying $800* . In the slow months, we keep the park afloat. In tough times, we show up with the necessities. We ve built a community but that's not appreciated, so we left.
