We've continually had a disappointing experience renting our offices at Level Office in Pioneer Square. We renewed a lease after year one due to location and promised improvements in safety and management - and now regret that choice. We were promised front desk service, office support a spirit of community etc and nothing. There's high staff turnover - largely because the staff is very clearly overworked and under supported by the larger Level Corp.. The most recent frustration came when they (with no notice at all) began extremely loud construction in the middle of the co-working space (just outside our office door) during the work day, rendering our offices unusable. In fairness they're offering to relocate our offices temporarily. They also offered to move a neighboring loud tenet but retracted that offer after I wrote another poor review on Google...so not only unprofessional and unsympathetic to business owners, they're also retaliatory. read more

Heads up when you book the conference room. I was about to book when I found the space on Peerspace for 15 people but found the identical listing on liquidspace that said it could only accommodate 12. That flagged it for me and I read the fine print instead of what it said it could fit and looked at the photo closely. You can see it can only comfortably seat 8 people.. 10 would be a tight fit. If I had just trusted that filters on those sites, I would've been in deep trouble for trying to squeeze 15 people in a space like that. Beware before booking space for your meetings read more

Looking at some of the past reviews I can't help but think that Novel has come a long way. The manager there, Kendra, has gone out of her way to help to create customized solutions as issues arise, and I'm sure she does the same for others. Dollarwise - the rates are significantly more affordable than WeWork and comes with a lot more benefits (conference rooms, printing is cheaper) at least when I checked. Adrianne at the front desk is easily one of the best receptionists I've encountered and goes out of her way to help (e.g., holding my mail for several months, politely booting people from the conference room I reserved etc.) and knows each of the tenants by name which, to me, is incredibly impressive. For a new business or anyone looking for a common office space - this could be a great fit and worth checking out. read more

This is a place you really don't want to rent from. Once you get in, you will have so many surprises including your rent agreement. You will end up paying more for the worst service you will receive. They promise you flexibility but do not honor it. Never take their word for it, I would read each and every single paper they give you and esp the ones you sign. read more

If you're a small business seeking office space, I strongly suggest you keep looking. If you do feel compelled to subject yourself to Level Offices, make sure you go thoroughly through your lease because they commit to nothing compared to any other shared office space. Here are a few of the many problems: The space is not kept secure, so don't leave any equipment in your office. There is rarely anyone at the front desk (because they can't retain employees) to keep people from wandering in and more than once there were intruders in the building over the weekend. You need to hang around the door when you have clients or guests to make sure they can find you because there isn't ever anyone at the desk. It's very noisy and the conference call rooms are for standing, no desk or chair, and the walls are paper thin. The kitchen is a mess. No one is around to keep the sink free of dirty dishes or empty the trash or dishwasher. Bring your own mugs, glasses, flatware because you'll never find any that's clean. Bring your own coffee maker/tea and such because the coffee maker is often out of order. The conference room is $20/hour and there is no way to view the free/busy time for it, you also can't book it for 30 minutes - you pay $20 whether you want it for 15 minutes or an hour. Printing is one of those nickle and dime things they do and it's pretty impossible because the insanely complicated interface for their printing system. Might as well buy your own printer if you need paper. They are defensive and uncooperative when you raise issues with their service. Their COO Kris Elliot, based in Atlanta, is patronizing, lazy and unwilling to offer any concessions for the frequent problems and total lack of services and they are firm on the lease, you can't break it when they fail to deliver on their end. I could go on and on...you're much better off choosing one of Level's many competitors. read more

I've worked at Level for seven months now and I really enjoy it. I've gone from a desk in a shared office to a private office (we expanded our Seattle team) and the staff did a great job of making the transition easy as well as making sure that we had a lot of flexibility to move again as we grow the team. The older building has a ton of character and we love the vaulted ceilings in our office. Our office has windows that look into the middle of the building, giving it the feel of being on a small-town main street in that you see people walking by, get light from the large skylights and aren't staring at a boring, neutral colored wall. The building has fast, reliable wifi; updated restrooms; and card-based door entry that some of the other older buildings in Seattle lack. The staff is great in general and you should really pick their brains for lunch spots if you're new to the area. The location is outstanding as it's near bus lines, the water taxi, so much great food and after-work happy hour options. Love the natural light and friendly tenants, although it's overly crowded sometimes in the main areas. Lots of staff turnover, and the terrific ones have been replaced by a far less pleasant receptionist. In an office share, the main contact is really important for reserving space and such, so this is unfortunate. My company has worked in the Level Office for 6 months, and so far we love it. The interior space is beautiful and charming, and our the views from our windows looking onto Pioneer Square are awesome. We have always found the staff to be incredibly fast and responsive to any issues that have arisen, and we love that they are always so accessible. The shared space amenities are great, and being so close to restaurants and bars has been wonderful. We never run out of lunch options! I've used Level twice to rent conference rooms for my business. It's in a cool old building in Pioneer Square. The main lobby/work area is lovely and light filled... the conference rooms not so much. We recently booked a room for 35 people and we were extremely clear that we needed a room where we could project a presentation. They booked us in a long skinny room that looked like a hallway. You could almost stand on the table in the center of the room and touch the walls on either side. It was impossible to see a projected presentation from any vantage point, not to mention airless and claustrophobic. The Level team's response? "Well, you saw a picture of the room (which did not show the galley layout) so that's on you." After significant push back we were able to decamp to their lobby. I was really disappointed in the way they handled the situation. We lost an hour of time on an important meeting with staff that had flown in from various locations. We ended up needing to use our own projector and cable. (Thankfully my team brought one just in case.) I would not recommend this space if you need a room for more than a few people. Also they recommend a parking lot next door that's almost always full. So if you do use them, and need parking, leave yourself enough time to circle all the lots in the area. read more

I have been renting space at the Level office in Seattle for approximately one year. I was an early tenant to move into a private office in the lower level. I cannot speak more highly about the Level office. This is a fantastic concept for shared workspace, also with individual offices, run by great people, and the space has worked perfectly for me in all respects. Level came in and did a terrific remodel on this beautiful historic Seattle building. The location in the center of Pioneer Square is super convenient and easy for commuting and access to restaurants etc. The shared office space is beautiful, and everyone works together in that space really effectively. The individual offices are also great, and they have a Number of different levels of participation that you can choose to be able to use the shared space and work in the building. The staff has been outstanding throughout my time there, and any issue I've ever had has been addressed promptly and effectively. The rates are also very reasonable for what you get, and access to the conference rooms is a nice bonus for when you need to have meetings with clients or other larger meetings. Also, the perpetual presence of free espresso and free beer for tenants is an amenity that I'm not sure you can find anywhere else. I'm not kidding. Free beer at all times. Go take a tour, I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I was. If you're looking for affordable and really, really cool office space, this is your place. read more

If you're looking to work in a simultaneously historic yet modern space the Level Pioneer building is for you! It's a really beautiful place to work in terms of Level renovating the offices and amenity areas while maintaining architectural elements form the 1800's. I'm really in awe of it every time I'm here. Additionally, the recently renovated kitchen areas have free coffee and even free IPA and cider on tap which is definitely an important addition. I've found the people who work here are all friendly and are open to chatting about their business and themselves in common areas. If you're feeling a bit isolated from working remotely from home, the Level co-working deal provides an environment to not only work remotely but also get to know a variety of people who also do so.
