A good variety of different snacks. Very clean and organized shop, and the people are friendly.

Someone would call out your order and you can go pick up from the small window in the seating area. During Covid times we simply order in the front register or over phone and pick it up there itself. The grocery story is one of the few places where you get truely fresh indian vegetables. These are not something you can find in other regular stores like Whole Foods, pick n save or metro market, so we like to come here to enjoy some of that. Coming back to the food - it is delicious!!! I won't say it's the healthiest but definitely amazing for your tastebuds. The taste is quite authentic to indian cuisine you will find in some parts of India. If you are in the area, do check it out!

I am not familiar with East Indian food, but fortunately, like most Asian establishments, there was a picture menu on the wall. I ordered the Vegetable Biriyani (#4 of the rice specialties). This place forked over a hearty serving for a hungry person. The store has many East Indian cultural food products throughout and also religious knick-knacks under the register desk. I will try more items whenever I am in that part of town.

4.5/5 stars Let me start by saying I have personal biases…read moreI'm battling here. I have newly moved to the Milwaukee area from Metro Detroit (home to the largest Arab population outside of the Middle East) and therefore not only did I grow up with great food our restaurant options have always been elite. If I seem nitpicky I'm sorry but let's get to it! I got the mixed grill plate, Turkish salad, and a lentil soup. Highlights: the shish tawook was perfect, juicy, not over cooked, the kafta loaded with flavors, the hummus was solid, I loved the bed of rice it was on, and the soup delicious... "so T, what happened to the half star?" This is where I might be overly critical... the chopped veggie salad was in dire need of salt, or consider dressing it with the jalapeño mix that was on the hummus. The Turkish salad put me in quite a conundrum... was it delicious? Oh hell ya, was it spicy? Yes (inject it my veins), so what's the issue? My issue here was just that it wasn't a salad. It was an excellent salsa, but I didn't have chips to eat it with and this isn't a "salad" you can eat by itself. If they had fried the Arabic bread and seasoned it like the fattoush chips and gave me a bag of it with the Turkish salad that might be the greatest combo known to Milwaukee. Finally, the only true criticism of this place, the beef kabobs... flavor was amazing, it was tender too but it was severely overcooked. I don't blame the restaurant because as an Lebanese person I grew up with way too many over cooked bbqs and aunts and uncles thinking red meat was blood despite eating kibbee nayee (beef tartar-Lebanese style) but if that had two minutes less on the grill it might have the holy grail of mixed grill plates. All of this to say I was very impressed, Milwaukee has some good spots and I wasn't sure what to expect when I moved here but this place does it for me, will probably make it a rotational spot

The hot bar seems to have closed a long time ago as well as several registers and customer service station. There's product everywhere and the building has a foul smell throughout. I wish I could've seen it in the past. I wasn't the only one walking around without getting anything, but I just couldn't get past the shock of it all.

I was pleasantly surprised that they had made some improvements to their refrigerator/freezer sections! First, the freezers on the last row were closed off and no longer accessible (thank goodness! mold growing inside freezers is just wrong). Most of their refrigerator section in the back corner was replaced with fridges with doors, so it looks more hygienic. And I did not see any freezers or fridges with cracks. On a Saturday visit, I would have expected a more fresh selection of produce. They weren't as good as I'd expect from most stores, but since I had like 0 expectation at this store (per my previous visits), I was pleasantly surprised at the produce quality. So much so that I actually picked up two items from them. Since their opening, I've seen this place's ups and downs. originally they even had food vendors on the side. it's too bad they're all gone now. I have only seen more and more deterioration since those vendors left, until this past week. It was great seeing a change for the better. I hope this is a sign that the store will continue to get better and there will be a better turn around on their products so things will be even fresher. There is so much potential here for the sheer size of the location. I look forward to it!

After taking a good look into the strip malls I spotter a sigh that had Bbq in it and did a U turn, Pakistani/Indian grocery, jack pot. I absolutely love these ethnic stores with a restaurant in them. It's carry out only but soon I'm told that some isles are are getting removed for a small casual seating area. I asked the super friendly guy at the register to see the menu and he gave me a sample of some new soon to be menu chicken to sample while I looked it over, wow that was delicious I told him. See my menu picture, it was hard to pick something but I went with the Seekh kebob roll and Qeema samosa that comes with two kinds of dipping sauce. OMG the Seekh kabob was the biggest I have ever had at what looked like a foot long/fat kabob rolled in store baked naan, all breads are fresh baked in the store I'm told. The roll was filled lettuce, onions, tomato and chutney which was spice and good, half way through I was stuffed. The Qeema samosa was very good, crispy fried shell filled with seasoned ground beef which comes in three to an order. Wow this really hit the spot for a for a nothing in mind lunch. This place is definitely a Milwaukee hidden gem and for being open with new owners for over a year with only one review with no food pictures. This was such a great find with tasty authentic food that definitely didn't disappoint today, great job today and I wish you great success.
