Adding Hmong fusion to the lot: On a sunday afternoon, hopping with people. The restaurant is located way in the back of Hmong Town. You order from the counter, and they will bring the food to yohu. I saw many Asian families eating humongous bowls of pho, and they looked quite good. I will have to try some time. On my particular visit, though, we weren't really hungry, and just wanted a snack. We went with eggrolls and beef intestines, but their sausages and stuffed chicken wings (bones removed and stuffed with eggroll stuffing) also looked so good. Eggrolls ($1.50) I've had some exceptional Hmong eggrolls, so i know these aren't the best out there, though it wasn't bad. I wasn't sure whether they had run out when we got there or whether it's just their practice, but they started rolling and cooking the eggrolls after we ordered them. So it took about 15 minutes to get them. It was steaming hot and good, but again, the flavors weren't the best i've had, and it was a bit more on the heavy side with the cabbage. With this in mind, I'm not sure that I'll try their stuffed wings, cuz they probably use the same in there. Beef intestines ($8) Steep on the price, but surprisingly good!!! Got me wowed! Not for those who don't like intestines, obviously, but I've had my share and these are good! They are a bit bigger pieces and intestines are very chewy, so they can get a bit tough to chew. But they had no smell, flavors were on the money, and i couldn't have asked for better. I did take half of it home, and warmed up on the air fryer and cut them more into bite sizes, and it was even better. Would get again! read more

Always enjoy eating here, family friendly and love the hmong sausage and boba tea arrived at peak lunchtime, but the service was fast and friendly. there is a lot of choices for the Boba tea and a variety of food choices as well. This place has really improved a lot! If you love cooking, you can find special cuts of meat here. I rarely find pork with the skin on, so I usually have to travel to Chicago Hmart to get it. I also love their fresh vegetable selection. Their pho is delicious and I highly recommend their pad thai. If you're not a fan of meat, you can just order the pad thai for only $10. we went to the hmong fusion restaurant in the back left of the building that had the seating on the right hand side of the partition, the newest addition! they finally opened it up so the grocery store and the restaurants to the left of it are connected. there is even a buy and sell video game store situated right on the outskirts of the grocery aisles! the food was great! everything that was breaded had a good crunch and the sauces were delicious for dipping! my only disappointment was the chicken wings, was definitely missing something. i definitely preferred the chicken that was on the most left handside. thai iced tea was creamy and good, thai iced coffee even better! the cashier was a nice young person and got us our food quickly! i will say its not the best in decoration, everything being pretty plain white walls, checkered floor, and basic tables, but food is worth it! read more

This review is about the restaurant inside the store. The store itself has a good selection and decent prices. Came here on a Sunday for lunch. It was pretty busy. People were ordering all kinds of different dishes, that's how you know lots of dishes are worth trying. I've gotten to go food from here but first time eating in. Everyone in the group got pho and we were satisfied. It's not Viet pho, but Hmong pho. Broth is different, still good. They also add a lot more variety of meats and stuff in your pho: shrimp, pork rinds, meatballs, tripe, beef. How many places can you go to eat then shop in the same place? I was so excited to eat the pork bellies I purchased a few weeks ago. I came home, opened the packaged and found a short black hair on the meat. I can't get that image out of my head even till today. Came here from Dallas and wanted to support the Hmong community. For the price they charge on food and drinks, not impress at all. The food was sooo salty! Who is the cook? Is the seasoning just salt with fish sauce and soy sauce? Never had anything so salty in my life. No wonder so many Hmong people have high blood pressure. The drink while delicious was stupidly overpriced for a small cup. I drove up to Appleton, WI from here and their portion was bigger, more affordable and had flavors other than salt. This place reminds me of J4 food stalls, overpriced food with no flavors. Just price gouging the community. I'll stick to home cook meals versus supporting these guys again. read more

A lot of variety if you're looking to walk the aisles and explore, grab a few things on short notice. Their items are marked $2-3 more than other surrounding Asian stores. If you don't mind the higher mark ups then it's a good place to shop but if you're on a budget, you might save a few dollars looking for a smaller Asian grocery store. read more

If you want to walk Hmong the Vietnamese people, this is where you can do it, in Milly Wore Kay anyway. This is a huge Vietnamese grocery store with a bunch of Vietnamese businesses inside of it (on the side, not in the grocery store part, which is basically a very run down Viet supermarket with very poor lighting lol) located in the northwest suburbs of Milwaukee. I guess the problem is that almost nobody comes here anymore so the whole thing is falling into disrepair and is on the virtue of being abandoned - probably bulldozed. You can actually still go in here and still get stuff even though it's crumbling to Pieces so come and have a look at it before it's too late and it's gone forever. It looks like what a Hmong version of a wild west ghost town would look like. Added a star because I want it to not disappear. read more

This location is sectioned off rather strangely. One is the grocery store side. Then there's the small retail stalls in the second section with very different hours of operation And then the final section is a food vendor. Over all this is a great retail location for the Asian Minority business owner. Plus side is that they are on the cleaner side for an Asian Retail Store. Huge former Kohl's store! Huge selection. A whole aisle of sauces. The restaurant just re-opened and I took home BBQ pork and eggrolls that were delicious. Also grab & go pork buns, steamed spring rolls, and pork buns. read more

Ok it's like my 4th time getting food from here and I'm still amazed at how wonderful it is, this is truly Milwaukee's best kept secret but keep in mind that it's not a date kind of a place decor wise. The food is very good and it keeps calling me back for the Pho crave and every time I pay at the register I'm still amazed at how reasonable it is for the quality/quantity/flavor. I still have Pho places that I'm trying to get to on my list but it's very hard because Im never disappointed with the food. The Pho is simple reg or special Sm or Lg, the small fills my Lg Pho bowl so I have never had the Lg, only $1 more by the way. The broth is dark/flavorful and not oily like some places, they must use a skimmer because it's always like this. The consistency is amazing with my Pho because its always the same from the protein to the noodles to the garnish which is unlike the other market that I stopped going to. I always get a side of the sausage now because the flavors go very well with the broth that has a nice Hoisin sauce flavor + the Thai basil, cilantro, raw jalapeño and everything else with the cup of the hot dipping sauce from the sausage just makes the perfect Pho for my tastes. On a side note I have never had any bones/crap/fillers in my Pho like some places and I don't know if you can phrase this with Pho but it's CLEAN Pho with everything edible and nothing that you can't eat and I have have been to a lot of Pho places so this really sticks out, see my pictures and don't be afraid to try it. By default this is my Pho place because I seem to keep getting it and liking it, yah I'm a fan. read more

Always been one of my favorite grocery stores/restaurants for the past 5-or-so years. You can always feel comfortable with how sanitary they are with the food. The service is overall well; nothing too remarkable, but they get the job done. I've been meaning to get my non-Asian friends to go there instead of the smaller grocery stores, or depend on the internet for instant food or products. I don't live close to the area, but I'm willing to give up some gas to make my way to this awesome place. It's not one of those aesthetic and trendy decorum places, so not much of a dating place. I like to stay away from the bathrooms though... it's somewhat bipolar (clean sometimes), then again the customers don't necessarily treat it with respect. They're always improving, so you might see construction is in motion and the selection of items are always expanding. What more is there to say..? I'm just surprised I don't see a bunch of people there all at once. Lastly, prepare to see or encounter some homeless people asking for change. Sounds almost inhumane to neglect them, but I'm young and carry just my card. If you have anymore questions, forget them and just go see for yourself! Lol read more

Good food but racist. My fiance is mexican and he went with his family and they ordered pho and Khaub piaj. I'd been trying to get my fiance to try khaub piaj for a while now and so when he told me he ordered it, i got really excited and asked him if it was good and if he put in the hot sauce that comes with it in it... He said they didn't give him any sauce. I've eaten khaub piaj there 2 or 3 times and it always comes with the hot sauce. And his parents weren't given any of the pho stuff, like bean sprouts, jalapeno peppers, lime, or basil, so they had to ask and my fiance said they took a while to get it. His dad was complaining about the service. I think it was because they weren't asian so the store people thought they could get away with not providing all the usual condiments. read more
