Without a doubt, THEE BEST body art studio experience I've had to date! I've received services from a variety of studios/shops/parlors, in Canada, Australia and the US. Exotic Impressions Body Piercing in Park Circle was outstanding, and in my top 2 list. Starting with the warm greeting when I walked in, through the FULL consultation, to the aftercare explanation and information sharing. A young lady by the name of Autumn was my piercing tech. What a gem! She was very thorough in answering all of my questions, took the time to explain procedures, options, costs, risks and so forth. Autumn was very professional, kind and transparent from start to finish. Her team member Ms Tehya was equally welcoming and professional. I would feel totally comfortable referring my mom to her! While I was there, another client came back asking for help with her piercing. Autumn and Tehya worked as a team, making sure to understand the lady's concerns, and finding a solution right away. I'm a firm believer that if a place that does body altering/body art cannot fully answer a client's questions, if they leave you feeling like you're bothering them, or that your time, money, satisfaction and well-being are not important, then that place is not in the business for the right reasons. The studio is extremely clean. Including the wheelchair accessible washroom. WOW. Extremely well laid out, brightly lit, easy to look at the huge variety of products etc. The piercing room was private, and again, incredibly clean and bright. Autumn took all precautions mandated for this type of service. Parking is off-street, 2 hour limit, and could get a bit congested at peak times. I was a walk-in on a Wednesday early afternoon. I stopped in to get a new nose ring. There were two groups ahead of me so I had to wait about 5 mins. The associate at the counter was friendly and helpful. Inside is clean and organized. Covid rules are on a board as soon as you walk it. They offer hand sanitizer. They have a large selection of items. The jewelry is organized by style and size so it's easy to find what you're looking for. The prices are great compared to other shops. They offer the option to put the jewelry in for you for $5. It is not fun trying to find a parking spot in this area. But on the bright side, it is free. read more

Absolutely horrible. I got my nose pierced, that was fine then got a jewelry exchange and the ring she put on cut the circulation off on my whole ear. Then i got the middle of my ear pierced and the jewelry fell out.. i went in to tell them and they still made me pay for new jewelry and an exchange. She was beyond touch with me and the woman at the front just didn't give a crap. Do not go here. My friend also got her lip pierced and it fell out twice ... low quality piercing. I have been to the other location of exotic impressions, the one in Summerville, many times. they used to be very slack but in recent years have upped their game. I drove about 30 miles to get to the north charleston location today and was so excited to get two new piercings that I'd been planning for months. I raced there and arrived 30 minutes exactly before they closed. I was told they weren't willing to do anymore piercings. if you say you close at 6, I'm going to assume I can get a piercing until 6. it would've taken 15 minutes for them to pierce me, but they decided not to. I am very frustrated by this experience. if you stop doing piercings at 5:30, then put it up online that you close at 5:30. I feel mislead. read more

They enforced masks for customers, social distancing, and had hand sanitizer as you walked in. I got my nose re-pierced and the lady who pierced me was very sweet and works fast. been to this location a few times for piercings. got my forward helix done which luckily healed and my conch done that i took out after not healing a year and a half later. while the workers are super nice, I went in for a jewelry exchange on my nose, even though it's been healed for three years the piercer did NOT clean my piercing or the jewelry. huge ick. will not be back and pricing is OUTRAGEOUS read more

I've been to this location multiple times and the past two times have been hell. The first time I got my tongue pierced and the jewelry they gave me was too small to accommodate swelling. This time I got my daith pierced here and they gave me the wrong type of jewelry and it's also definitely not long enough jewelry. My ear is completely swollen and had to make an appointment at mola to get the jewelry switched to the proper jewelry it needs. I called exotic and they told me as long as it's not hot or no pus it should be fine and if it was to go the doctor. Every other time I've been it's been fine but over the last year they've definitely slipped. The people and piercers at the shop are nice but haven't switched from traditional jewelry for piercings that have been proven to do better with other jewelry. read more

Two coworkers and myself spur-of-the-moment decided to take lunch and go get our noses pierced. Exotic Impressions in Park Circle is very close to our office, and we were all very pleased with our experience. Our piercer, August, was very friendly and professional. Everything was extremely sanitary. I swear, I must have seen her change her gloves and wash her hands at least a dozen times! The prices were reasonable. Updated Review: Went back in today and had Rhys. He was AMAZING. He took care of my piercing and was able to diagnose why my ear wasn't healing. Turns out because I got it pierced with a hoop they like don't heal. He took really good care of me and was able to help me pick out a new earring to help my ear heal better. He was a total gentleman and I felt completely comfortable. Thanks for the help! Totally recommend this place as both times I've been they've been very accommodating! Previous Review: Got a basic cartilage piercing by Amanda. She was very nice that's the only reason this isn't one star. However, I've had a cartilage piercing before in my friends room with a needle and didn't have nearly as much pain! It was painful when I got the piercing and it's been painful every night since! It's been 3 MONTHS! And my piercing hasn't healed. I took the piercing out for the first time this morning because I couldn't bead the uncomfortableness any longer. I have called several times also to complain about keloiding. This is the first time out of all 6 piercings I have my ear has ever keloided. The man who answered the phone when I called to complain and ask for tips, said it should be gone after 20mins of hot salt water directly on the ear. It hasn't gone done still :( I really wanted to like this place because Amanda was really professional and nice! However, my piercing isn't healing and I haven't gotten any answers!! read more

I went to Exotic Impressions on Montague Ave this past Monday, February 15th for ear piercing. My 20 year old daughter highly recommended this business to me and she went with me because I'm 54 and a very traditional Southern woman and I was afraid that the employees may look weird at me because of that. BUT THEY WERE WONDERFUL. Very kind, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Their shop is incredibly neat and clean. I'm a nurse and noticed all the packaging was sterile and they were excellent with observing standard precautions. I had my ears re-pierced as I had quit wearing earrings due to allergic reaction when I wore any metal in my left ear piercing. The young lady at the counter helped me and recommended titanium studs. I love the sparkly stud. The piercing looks great. No redness or drainage. I probably won't be back as I'm not fond of multiple piercings for me. But I know my daughter, and friends, will return! I have been here twice and had one very positive experience and one negative. The first time I went it, I got a second nose piercing done by Rhys and he was great!! Customer service is so important to me and he talked through everything he was going to do before he did it, really listened to my concern about the placement of it to have room for two hoops on one nostril, politely gave me his professional opinion and I'm glad I went with it. I wanted to keep returning to them for my jewelry needs after that even though they are out of the way for me. The second time I went in the young woman behind the counter was entirely too casual like she couldn't care less to be there. Awful customer service and I was so turned off by her.
