So yes, the coffee and the sandwiches are great. The cakes they serve are simply fantastic and I certainly do like the fact they offer gluten free and healthy products.
How come the low score, you may wonder?
Well, that is due to the fact I got mouthed by the owner for asking about an offer they had (it was entirely clear to me what was and was not included, well, forgive me). I was schooled in front of several customers!
And you know what? Up to today I was (with an emphasis on 'was') a regular as I would normally pop in a few times per week for my coffee (good coffee; do not get me wrong!) and occasionally for a lunch and/or diner, whether by myself or with a friend or colleague. Not anymore, that is!
I instantly declined the offer and on the spot I gave away my almost fully stamped savings card to someone standing in line while informing the personnel (the owner simply walked away after he dealt me the last insult) they will not see me in that place again and that I will take my need for caffein elsewhere (Lebkov and Sons or Greenbean are excellent alternatives, you know).
Certainly, I shall have my weak moments and I am sure I will then miss the gluten free chocolate brownie but I can not and will not tolerate such rude behavior. So, me thinks not about the way they feel they are entitled to treat their own customers (mind you; a regular customer even) like they did.
Summarizing, if you are able to bypass the rude owner, then, yes this is the place to go to for a good coffee and nice, healthy food. If you think you might need to ask a question which, God help, might be considered offensive by the owner, then prepare to get schooled in an unsavory discussion with the owner. Good luck to you, me thinks not.
