We came to McMenamins Edgefield to attend one of their concerts on the lawn, Earth Wind and Fire…read more We read up ahead of time and saw that we should show up early and make sure to only bring the specified items on the website. Everything from the towel size to the clear bag listed online made getting through security easy and helped us get a prime spot. The concert itself was great. Lighting, sound and the vibe of everything was fantastic. We were disappointed with the vegetarian options available for purchase inside the concert venue. An overpriced baked potato and a store brand veggie burger felt subpar compared to other food options. Unfortunately, we could not bring food from all of the pubs and bars into the concert venue so it made it a little difficult. You really have to enter 2 hours before the concert to get a good spot, meaning you are there during dinner. That being said, the concert was great. The location is fun to walk around and includes a golf course, outdoor dining, and lots of little pubs and secret spots. The food is typical for McMenamins and the art both inside and outside makes it a unique Portland experience. My favorite part of all McMenamins sites is the history for the location. The local historical society was selling a book for $5 that told the history of the site, including its days as a poor house, a jail, and lots of other stories of the past. I would love to go on a historical tour, but for now to stroll the book and walk around the property was a treat. The lines were long because of the concert to get drinks everywhere so we opted for cold brew coffee on nitro at the little coffee cart inside the main lodge. We sipped our coffee and walked around and it was lovely. By

Very good, but it was $16.25 for a 9oz pour...it should be good. The small Caesar with Grilled Chicken was ok. But again, $16.00 is too expensive. I did look further and saw that the Cheeseburger, with Fries and a Pickle Spear is $25.00. No way. My server was Adam. I hope this is a short term gig for him as he was non-existent...which is what I expected. His lack of attentiveness to me was horrendous. I will not return to any McMenamins, as I stated at the beginning, service is slow, food is okay and it has become too expensive.

I ordered my favorite Beef Chow Fun and was told about the new policy. If you plan on eating there, you have to eat on certain plates that are considered "dine in" and if you order to go and they "catch" you eating it there, then the food cart will be penalized. What the heck?! We can NEVER eat a full portion and 2 of us eat from different carts. To punish your carts is disgraceful! What is your goal here ? We will NOT be back, so my apologies to our favorite carts . You can look to your "landlords" to the decrease in your revenue. . Disgusted!

I called to place a pickup order and got a message saying they weren't available and to try again. Then it hung up on me. Ok... So I ordered online instead. The checkout automatically added a $5.40 tip for a no frills large pizza. The order wasn't even taken by a human and I was driving there and picking it up myself. It was already paid for so no one even had to ring me up. What exactly am I tipping for? I changed $5.40 to $2 because apparently I can be guilted by a computer. I placed my order at 7:00PM. Only AFTER I placed the order did I discover the estimated pickup time was 1 hour and 35 minutes. For pizza. Not a mortgage approval. Pizza. I arrived at arrived a few minutes early, around 8:32. It wasn't ready at 8:35. I finally got my pizza around 8:40. $2 tip. I want my $2! So it took 100 minutes. At this point, I was expecting pizza so magnificent that angels would descend from the heavens and personally sprinkle Parmesan on it. But it was just okay. Not bad. Not great. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but for the price, the wait, and the quality, I'll stick with Abby's. Their pizza is way better, and by the time LoLo's finishes an order, I've already eaten my Abby's pizza and watched my son graduate from high school.

All the spirits you could ask for in a convenience store style mini-mart…read more Our family has been coming here for well over a decade. Located right off of Hogan and Stark is this little liquor store. It is in the same little strip mall as Chase, B-Mart and there is a UPS Store there. Parking here can be a challenge since it is shared with some of the other stores. We like the layout of the store as it is organized where the different types of liquors are broken up in sections. The workers are very friendly and always willing to give solid advice when we are looking to try something new or wanting to do mixed drinks. If you are looking for the more fancy stuff like Cognac, it is behind the counter and you do have to ask for it. This has not been an issue for us since we generally know what we need when we come here. They also sell cigarettes and I really like their wide variety of the small bottles of liquors. The price is set by the OLCC/ Oregon Liquor Control Commission so it will be the same as the other stores. The workers do a great job of getting you in and out of the store, which we appreciate. The fast and friendly service and knowledgeable employees of their products make this place a great.

In addition and they do have snacks and treats which Melanie T likes; since, she doesn't drink. The people who work here are helpful and tend to be nicer than other liquor stores. My only one issue is that even though there is plenty of parking , the parking spots are a bit tight, and it's hard to get in and out of the mini mall.
