I located this car dealer from auto trader who sold second hand cars. I had bought a car from them…read morewith the assurance that everything was working fine. I was just after a reliable cheap to run car. The car was a 1999 Nissan Almera. You don't expect the car to be perfect but if the dealer says it has been "workshop checked" then everything should be o.k. The car was sold with potentially fatal faults, the drive shaft boots on the front of the car were split which could cause the wheels to lock up. The front tyres were also worn down to the legal limit and had to be replaced. I had the car for less than 2 weeks, so I phoned to enquire about the faults. The manager phoned me back he said "All our cars don't come with a warranty, the car was running fine when we sold it" The car was also only getting around 20 miles per gallon which for a 1.4 engine on the open road is pretty poor. When I asked him about this he said " Its normal mpg for that type of car, you might want to change the spark plugs and air filter". The fault for this turned out to be the front brake sticking on one side. It sounded to me like he wasn't really interested, now that he had taken money for the car. I have now had to have the car repaired to make it safe to drive, at a different garage. The cost was an extra £200 on top of what I already paid. This included Tyres, Drive shaft boots, brake parts, and labour charges. I also had to apply for V5 registration document myself because they did not send off for it. I will be selling the car soon, as it has cost far too much money already. This is the first time I have written a review, and normally I let little things go, but if you spend so much of your hard earned money for a service which is poor, you have to let other people know. I would advise to check a car thoroughly if you intend to buy from this dealer, and walk away if there are any signs of faults, because they will not help you after you have bought the car..

My advice on buying a car from Team Valley Car Centre is - DON'T- please read on…read more On the 3rd September 2011 my son spent a good part of the day outside Team Valley Car Centre advising customers to ensure that they get a full professional inspection for any car that they are thinking of buying from this company. My son previously paid a £200 deposit for a car at Team Valley Car Centre and I advised him to get an independent inspection done which was completed by the RAC. They strongly advised him against buying this car. Unfortunately payment of the deposit was not made with a proviso that the car had to pass an independent inspection, so Team Valley Car Centre refused to refund the deposit. In view of the fact that the RAC inspector found numerous issues, i.e. evidence of accident damage repairs, faulty number plate lights and rusty brake disks all round, you would expect that a reputable trader would have no hesitation in refunding the deposit. Their response was in fact to call the police to remove my son and prevent his protest. A trip to the small claims court is now in order. Albeit that the RAC inspector was unable to formally report it as fact, he strongly suspected that the mileage displayed was incorrect. Team Valley Car Centre makes a clear statement that they do not guarantee the mileage in their cars. Something to be very aware of if you are considering buying from them. Team Valley Car Centre also would not provide the RAC inspector with the car's service history when he requested to see it. My son had seen it previously, so why was this not provided? I certainly would find it impossible to trust a company with such a track record.

AVOID!! I purchased a car from here and it didn't even get me home. Upon inspection by an…read moreindependent garage the car was found to have multiple issues. Sensors etc were disconnected but no warning lights on the dash for them. They had been tampered with to not show as a fault on the dash. The rear brake discs had been stuck together at the back and coated with paint to try and hide it. The rear tyres had metal wire showing through on the inner side walls. The front disc brakes had also been painted to disguise the condition of them. The front wheels were missing the spigots so the wheels were vibrating like mad as you got over 40mph, this had also caused the front wheel bolts to bend. Bushes on the front and rear had been filled with sealant in the rubber to try and hide the deteriorated condition. The rear air suspension had been tampered with so it did not show any warning lights on the dash but it was faulty and not working. The automatic gearbox was holding gears and not changing up or down correctly. When it did change gear it was with a violent jerk. The front windscreen washer jets didn't work and needed a new motor but that was a minor issue compared to the rest. I contacted Andrew about the problems with the car and his response was it was working ok and he had driven it 800 miles before I purchased it. This meant he either knew of the issues with the car as I only managed 7 miles until it had to be recovered or he hadn't driven it 800 miles. Either way he was being dishonest. I asked him when was convenient to have the car returned to him for a refund. His response was if I drop it off with him in a few days time and leave it with him for a week he'll have a look at it. I was not happy with this option as he had already proved he was dishonest by saying the car had no issues and he had driven it 800 miles. Also with the list of issues the car had that had been deliberately covered up to sell the car to an unlucky buyer (me in this occasion) I wouldn't trust him to repair the car safely. Andrew then got snappy with me saying I can't do anything despite what I might have been told by the internet and he isn't refunding anything. Now I have had to start a claim against the garage as I am down thousands of pounds with a car for the scrap to show for it. He is purposely hiding faults on cars to cover up the issues to sell them on. This is very dishonest but also VERY unsafe. The car I purchased was to be a family car with young children as passengers. The independent garage found the car to be extremely unsafe. The tyres, brakes and suspension were all faulty and the front wheels were not even fitted correctly and with bent bolts. Please do not purchase from Andrew and Peart motors, the cars he sells are dangerous and there is no after sales care or support at all.

Don't touch this dealership under any circumstances. Bought a Volvo XC70 on the 2nd June 2022…read more Within 24 hours the Transmission Service Required light came on the gears were very jumpy. Also other issues is warning brake failures notifications came up. Broken down and retrieved by RAC three times all within the 30 day window for buying the car. He booked it into a garage he knew only after being threatened for legal action however was going to take weeks so got it booked into a garage here in Consett and work was due to be done on 22nd July 2022. On this day the gearbox was supposed to get serviced and I got a call from them stating that the rear propshaft wasn't there and had been removed. Turns out all the problems relate back to the Propshaft being removed before sale to myself. This included Engine Control Module Issues, Transmission Control Module, ABS Brake Failure, as you know all controlled by an ECU that thinks it is pulling an AWD car. I got an email back from the dealer which basically admits he knew that it had been removed prior to sale and trying to get out of refunding money which was £2400 for the car. Keys handed back to the dealer along with the car and a court case and trading standards investigation now started. Do not use this dealer!!
