I don't even have the words to fully express how grateful I am for Odessa Muffler and Brake. I was…read moredriving from Fort Worth to El Paso to visit my very sick uncle, and while passing through Midland, my bumper partially came off and started scraping on the highway. I pulled over and tried to fix it myself, but I was still four hours from my destination, it was getting dark, and as a young woman traveling alone, I was honestly scared. I arrived at Odessa Muffler and Brake right at closing time, expecting to be turned away. But instead, they greeted me with warmth and didn't hesitate to help. They stopped what they were doing and got to work on my car immediately; no questions asked, no judgment, just kindness. They spent an entire hour after closing carefully securing my bumper, checking my whole vehicle to make sure it was safe, and even discovered and fixed my muffler that was hanging off (which I had no idea about!). When I asked how much it would cost, they told me it was free. That kind of generosity is so rare, especially when they easily could have taken advantage of my situation. I didn't have much money, and this trip was an emergency, but because of them, I made it safely to El Paso and was able to spend precious time with my uncle before he passed the very next day. Their kindness meant the world to me, and I will never forget it. Odessa Muffler and Brake didn't just fix my car; they made it possible for me to say goodbye to someone I loved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am forever grateful.

Well I told them that when I went in for my FREE oil change and instead of taking advantage of me they looked over the car, said they couldn't find anything bad with it in a quick overlook but they noticed something loose under the hood and tightened it down so if there's still a problem I could bring it in later for an in depth look. Well the sound went away! They could have easily told me whatever they wanted and charge me a ton but they just took a weight off my shoulders. Will always come back and recommend them. They diagnosed it, put it up on the raisers and showed her exactly where the issue was... it was a little costly on a fixed income but the work comes with 50,000 mile or 5 year warranty so she figured what does she have to lose.... Well she was more than happy with the customer service and her car was completed in a day! Most places here in Midland would have your car for 2 to 3 weeks MINIMUM! I will not be bringing any of my vehicles here in the future. My fiancé brought our car in for an…read moreoil change and to have the check engine light diagnosed. Later that afternoon, we were informed it would be an additional $180 just to check the code--on top of whatever the actual repair would cost. Hesitantly, we agreed. We got a call later saying our vehicle was ready. When we asked what the issue was, we were told it was just a "loose connection" and that they reset the check engine light. That's it. Fast forward two weeks--our car won't start. After doing some investigation, we discovered that the wrong size battery had been installed previously, which is what triggered the check engine light in the first place. So essentially, this shop charged us $180 to reset a light and completely missed the real issue. No real diagnostics were done. Save yourself the frustration. We took our car to Meineke on W Loop 250, where they properly diagnosed the issue without charging us $180 for doing absolutely nothing.

I tried to call the dealership twice and was told someone would call me back, they didn't. I will not be doing any further business with this dealership and I recommend you don't either.
