First she was late opening up the store. Second she bloched my contouring which bloched my blush. I asked her about fixing it and she took a sponge to my cheek but that did nothing!! When I was finally done with my make-up appointment I still had to have my hair styled. When we got back to our hotel room I had just enough time to get dressed and take off my foundation and blush and start over. I complained to the owners and I felt like I dismissed. I have been a customer of Merle Norman Cosmetics for many many years and I will never buy any products from any of the stores these owners own. I was fortunate enough too be able to fix my make-up myself, but that isnt the point. I regret going there!!!

I wasn't expecting a big shift in my skin's appearance and definitely not in shape. However, less than 5 minutes into it I was totally blissed out! I hadn't realized how much tension I was carrying in my face until Mary Kay worked it all out! I was also impressed with how lifted and sculpted my entire face, especially cheek bones, looked afterwards (she said her hand strokes are specialized to fight gravity). Seriously, so lifted and rounded, not the flat way they were before. It was both relaxing and effective with visible results. Her space was easy to find and comfortable. Bathroom available. She is knowledgeable about the skin care line she uses, able to tailor them to individual needs and explain why and how your skin would benefit from them. Moved here recently and thought I'd just try a place. Scheduled to get my hair cut by Mikayla, but…read moreit was cut by Ava instead. Coming here was a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE MISTAKE! Asked for basic easy-to-manage trim with long layers. My hair looks WAYYY worse after getting cut by her! I need to get another cut elsewhere now. She said she was a recent graduate from the Rod Sickler school. I should have walked when she started the consultation by talking about how she couldn't find her stool that she needed to cut my hair... She cut a random really short piece off the TOP of my head. So now I have shoulder length hair with a Little Rascals, Alfalfa piece flailing helplessly about off the TOP of my head 5 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. Guess this is why she needed her STOOL? She was new and didn't know what she was doing. She stated multiple times that something could not be done, which even I can do.... Examples: drying my hair without it frizzing? So I left with wet hair... did this so I wouldn't immediately see her mistakes? She argued that I didn't need shaping around the face and that it couldn't be done. Oh yea.... She said negative things about previous customers too.
