The window is not squared in place. Window 2: the well is not secured to the foundation. There are chunks of foundation missing on the inside. And I don't trust that there aren't chunks of foundation missing where the window is placed and I can't see. Windows are placed at different heights from each other. Negligent in the fact that they didn't cover vents or seal off bedrooms while cutting cement. Our ducts and hvac system are full of concrete dust. They did deduct the air duct cleaning from our final price. I should have demanded they cover more of the damage they caused. Dead grass in 3 large patches of my lawn from dirt sitting there for an extended period of time. Chipped and broken siding. No leveling or grading of the ground around the window wells. At the end of the day, if you want to schedule a project and have the project done in a timely fashion, don't hire them. If you don't care about the time frame, still don't hire them. They can't even measure or square up a window.

We signed a contract with Applegren Construction to build our new house. It was a frustrating and…read morestressful experience. We were overcharged for items that we did not consent to. The contractor made mistakes and passed the extra costs on to us. The contractor often did not return calls, texts or emails. The project took longer than agreed upon. Applegren refused to complete unfinished work without additional payment over and above the agreed upon contract. We were unable to resolve issues without legal action. We took the case to ND small claims court and won. (See ND Court System, Grand Forks County, Civil Case #18-2021-SC-00186) We do not recommend this contractor. They are a deceptive and dishonest contractor. As the previous review says, please think twice before hiring this contractor.
