The art work in side the lobby and corridors of the hotel are stunning with many of the work by local artist. Very nice personnel working so be patient and give them time to work out the kinks. It was close to all the places we needed to go in Thomasville. I loved the new furnishings and the spacious ambience of the hotel. At $110 a night, it is on the pricey side. We stayed two nights. We liked how impressive and clean our room was upon entering. The sensor light in the large mirror at the entrance was a nice touch. The bathroom shower was modern and the long shower there was a relief. There were very few to no concerns. I looked in the closet to use a spare throw blanket. I found spare bed sheets and a pillow with a blood spot. They have a Keurig coffee machine and coffee inside the room, a fridge, and microwave are free amenities inside the room, yet there is no free breakfast and coffee downstairs. They do have a small Shoppette to buy necessities and bistro to buy meals & drinks in the lobby. Two large hot coffees in the lobby cost us $18. The menu looked good yet expensive as well. We opted eating the snacks & food we had on us and buying a quick ready meal from Publix. If you want to stay a walk away from certain places and attractions in downtown, this hotel is very ideal & convenient.

Check-in was a breeze and they honor govt discounts unlike the Thomasville Hampton Inn which was 2x the cost. Parking and Wi-Fi are free. I even got sweet potato chips and water as a Hiltons Honor perk! The rooms are tastefully appointed with a sink, microwave and mini-fridge, lots of drawer space and nice toiletries. There's a large flat screen TV with HBO unlike Best Western or Holiday Inn which have no premium channels. I appreciated the luggage rack, dining tray, work station for my laptop and roomy shower with good water pressure. There's a night-light in the restroom! I did struggle a bit with adjusting the temperature. But my room was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. I even had a view of the lake! I welcomed the free breakfast, particularly the fresh fruit cup, yogurt and pour your own waffles. The dining area was clean but the staff was a bit chatty. They ran out of waffle batter and sausage at 8am. It was refilled but the wait meant I had to eat in a rush. In a perfect world, the hotel would have a 1pm late checkout option and hardwood floors or pet-free rooms for the allergy prone. But you can't have it all! Overall, great stay. I recommend and will return!

However it's the first accommodations I have reserved that has had NO in room refrigeration or microwave. NO Ice Machine access but ice buckets in the room? Extra roomy Bathroom with no counter space. Iron & ironing board was in the hallway restroom for communal use?!? It is somewhat understandable that this is a historic building but there apparently is no sound proofing/insulation between the guest room walls. Noise from doors shutting, conversions, people walking on the old hard wood floors, the noises never ended. Many times it would have been very beneficial to have staff in site as children were constantly playing and running the halls, also clunking exercise equipment in the gym! Texting or Email was the only way to get staff response, which it was usually relatively quick.

We received clear instructions via text on how to download the electronic key app, along with the entry code and parking directions. No issues at all getting in. The room had electronic key cards for both the side door and the room itself, making it very convenient. Parking was easy--we parked at the park directly across from our room, within view. The streets were well-lit, and the area felt safe and charming. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with the A/C and TV working perfectly. The bathroom was impressively large as well. The building itself is adorable, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated. My only suggestion would be to add a larger vanity in the bathroom, as there's ample space for it, and maybe a task light for makeup. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if given the opportunity.
