Do you have kids, grandkids; do you know a kid?! Okay, all "kidding" aside- this place is amazing…read more There is a good reason they have been open for 20+ years, these folks know what they're doing! I have a soon to be 2 year old little boy. Enough said, right? He is full of uncontainable energy and curiosity. I have been cutting his hair for the last year, but sitting still for an extended period of time at home is basically the equivalent of a small miracle at this point. I discovered Kids Hair Etc. while searching for a kid friendly place to get my kiddos hair cut and let me tell you, kid friendly is 100% right! They have a sweet little play area with lots of toys, complete with a TV streaming kids shows. They offer several "salon" chairs that any little person would be happy to sit in (a fire engine, a horse, and a train), and extra toys on hand should your toddler become restless while getting their tresses trimmed. The owner and her son greeted us as soon as we walked in. We saw Gabriel and he was absolutely wonderful with my little guy. He was punctual and worked quickly, we started right at our scheduled appointment time and we were pulling out of the parking lot 20 minutes later. Their equipment is nice and quiet, so the clippers did not bother my kiddo one bit. He was patient if my little guy wanted to turn his head or stand up, and gave him a toy to fiddle with when he needed him to sit a bit more still. I loved the convenience of online scheduling, the fair prices, and their professionalism. I also appreciate that they offer their own brand of kid friendly hair products! They cut adult hair as well, so dad can make an appointment here too. I can't recommend Kids Hair Etc highly enough!

Yes, this technically a salon for little ones, BUT I refuse to let anyone else press my hair. Megan…read morehas been doing my silk presses since 2018, and she has protected my curl pattern. I usually book on StyleSeat, and I've NEVER had an issue with her double booking. As a matter of fact, I've never waited more than 10 minutes for her to start my hair. This past Saturday, a young lady shampooed and deep conditioned my hair. Another young lady detangled and blow dried. Megan pressed it. I was in and out in less than two hours, most of which was under the dryer. Again, it is a salon for mini humans, but she DEFINITELY does adult hair. The services aren't cheap but the care she puts into my hair is worth it. I LOVE my huge afro, and she ensures that my curl pattern remains even after the blow drying and press out.

I walked in and no one greeted us just looked at us for a while until I finally said hi we have an appointment for my daughter(said her name) at noon. The woman asked who was it with I told her kimmie and she responded that was her. Weird how do you not know the appointment is arriving so unprofessional from top to bottom. There is an adult in both chairs no kids being serviced. The adult in her chair is getting a roller wrap and she just started. I asked how long until she starts on my kid she says flatly she doesn't know. So I say I will be right back going to grab her food. She runs out after me and says someone can shampoo her now. I was going to not come back but I said ok she's making an effort. They put a stained towel on my child and start wetting her hair. The shampoo lady is nice is calming belle. I'm standing there then kimmie stops her adult roller set again to come tell me that parents can't stay. I say she's only three I'm not leaving her with strangers(rude strangers). She starts physically ushering me toward the door telling me I can't stay I can wait I'm the car. she flatly tells me that they can't service her in that case. Are they crazy? Fine I'll leave keep the 50 dollar deposit. She then tells me I'll be charged the full price 125 even if I leave. I'm disputing the charge so who cares but honestly what a terrible experience. No class not as advertised. Even if I had gotten the Service I would never return. And 125? What about this salon or service said worth 125 for a wash and condition for a three year old. I should've needed the previous bad reviews. They aren't under new management. Don't go to this place

Received a call from Vietnamese hairdresser (Kay?) advising she was running about 10 minutes late. She arrived, parked in back and headed for front door. I went to door and it was locked. First of all, I said I didn't like my neck shaved, just cut as short as possible with scissors. She told me that she could not do this as it would be uneven. Note that I have not had my neck shaved in years and she is the only person who has had a problem with this. She continued to be unfriendly and I told her she was rude. As it ended, she said she could not do my hair since I said she was rude. At this point, I left. What a disappointment. Would not recommend.
