Rather than taking meaningful accountability for communication failures and oversight, the focus was placed on defending the return's technical accuracy and justifying the fee. The small "goodwill adjustment" offered felt dismissive given the amount of time and frustration involved. Accuracy is expected from a paid tax professional.
