Three walking bridges cross the lake at different points so you don't have to walk the entire perimeter to get from one side to the other. There is a nice amusement park for all ages including a great ferris wheel. They have acres of parking surrounding the property so the walk from your car is never too far. The grounds include a vast number of restaurants of every type cuisine you can imagine. Shops, stores, and kiosks are too numerous to count. I have always enjoyed an easy stroll through Broadway at the Beach on a cool evening and popping in and out of interesting shops. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because we have been there so many times there isn't anything new. However, if you've never been there, it's a must see.

For starters, this hotel does NOT have proper security footage in place. None of the floors have…read morecameras per the staff. Ridiculous right. You better pray that the staff doesn't enter your room while you are down at the beach enjoying family/ friend time with your loved ones. The perp evidently knows no cameras means endless opportunities to strike. Unsuspectingly, we returned back to my friend's hotel room only to find that my purse had been stolen--I left it inside the room because why not?! Of course we called the police once we realized the hotel wouldn't be much of service to assist us. You've all been warned. I would never stay at a hotel with no security cameras; we didn't realize they didn't have them in place until we asked them to check the cameras to help recover my missing purse (sigh). I hope I get some justice from this very unfortunate ordeal. Oh and the room wasn't cleaned properly. My friend grabbed a towel after check in and anxiously cleaned the filth from baseboards.

After reading some of the reviews, we honestly didn't have super high hopes for this hotel. But for…read morethe price and the fact that it's oceanfront, we thought, "Why not give it a try?"After all, we went for the beach and the views, and we spend very little time in the room other than enjoying our balcony--which has been one of our favorite parts! We did enjoy the pool area but do recommend getting there early if you want a chair, we had beach chairs so for us it wasn't a deal breaker. Yes, the hotel is dated, but we understand that it's in a hurricane zone, so we're pretty understanding of that. Our room was clean and decent, and honestly, our only real complaint about the room was that the sink and tub didn't drain very well. We didn't use the stove but it was very outdated but atleast it was there If we wanted to use it. The elevator floor was wet & sandy but here again it is a beach front hotel; you're going to have it! The breakfast bar was just okay, and while the eating area is on the smaller side, they have to-go containers available and a nice-sized outdoor patio. The parking isn't directly on the property, but there's a parking lot right across the street, so it really wasn't a big inconvenience for us. Overall, for the price, location, oceanfront views, beach and pool access, we really can't complain! Would we stay here again? Absolutely! Sometimes you just have to experience a place for yourself instead of letting the reviews make the decision for you!
