My initial thought of seeing this was 2 star was "Wow, that really shows how everyone here is rich and snobby". I just read both reviews, and I get it though. I don't know them and I'm not judging them, and I understand their views. I was going to leave it 5 stars but one review was definitely right, there is some broken glass around.
I recently found this and loved it. It's off the beaten path although it's pretty small. Only maybe 15 parking spots but I haven't seen it full ever. Probably on the weekends though. I also wish I could've seen this park when it had more land and wasn't fenced off like the other review states. (Honestly not judging them like it sounded like I was originally....I get it).
But it's free, it's beautiful, and it's basically a mini private beach that only a handful of people know about apparently since it's dead. You can grill out there (assuming, as it says nothing about grills on the sign that states basic things like no pets and no booze or loud music)
But I almost like this better than the beach. It may not be intended for swimming but plenty of people do. You can people-watch, well, lets call it boat watch. Sometimes you see police boats going up and down ensuring safety. Sometimes 10M yachts, or the occasional kayak, which is how I found this park because i searched where I can launch from. Every time I've been I've seen other kayakers or paddleboarders launching from there or just out on the river itself.
Anyways, watch for glass, it wasn't bad but I did see a little bit...but that's any park in FL these days. But come enjoy this awesome hidden private beach like park. read more
