We knew we wanted Trex. At first we had George work out a 50/50 project to quote. My wife and I liked George right off of the bat. Great guy and knows his stuff. His price was right in line with the others. His knowledge and pictures of previous work, sold us. Once the deck was underway, George made some suggestions. Yes, it was more money and yes, I started to get overwhelmed with cost. That was one me, not George. His price was more than fair. So, at one point, we decided to go "all in" with Trex and lights and nice railings..... George's team was awesome. They were efficient and clean. There was never garbage strewn around our yard. The entire project took a week and the end result was WAY beyond what we originally hoped for. An added bonus was the way George built the support for the decking. Our town inspector put it best.... "The support for this deck is beyond code." When we started planning, there weren't a lot of reviews for Deck Experts which worried me. I wanted to make sure to publish a review for anyone with doubts. I would recommend George and his crew to anyone looking for a deck build or redo. You will have zero regrets and as a salesman, George is informative not pushy. Trust his design and his finished work. You'll be more than pleased with the end result. They were very reasonable on the variables, (negotiation of "look what we found" can be stressful) as happens on mya complete re-do jobs. We found Decks NJ through a Facebook group. We are so happy that we did. We bought our home in 2016…read moreand there was an existing deck which was approximately 30 years old. It was in extremely poor shape. We contacted Joe the owner of Decks NJ and in a week or so he came by to give us an estimate and his vision of what we could do. We wanted to save some money and not remove the existing substructure and Joe had the integrity to be honest with us and tell us it was in workable shape. Joe listened to what we wanted and provided his expert opinion... (much if not all of which we agreed with). He went to work and sent us graphical drawings (which looked very real) and our new deck just jumped out at us. We had to have it! We negotiated a very fair price with Joe and he and his team spent the next few weeks building our dream deck. The windows were inaccessable from the outside, so they had to improvise from the inside. It took two days to replace (plus production time), and they did a wonderful job on as it as far as I can tell - the new windows look great! I am very thankful for their help and for being attentive to my needs when I asked them to change the glass from tinted to clear.
