Desinfectant was at the door, spots on the floors were there to help with physical distancing and the 2 ladies that were working were super welcoming and also very surprised that I was the 9th customer coming for the exact same picture, I guess everybody took this time off to update their paperwork. They used proper lighting and light diffusers and showed me several takes to choose from. Honestly all of them were perfect. The difference between the old photo and the new one is huge. This is a tough place to review (for reasons which will become evident as one reads my story). Do I…read morebestow 1 star or 5 stars here? Hard to say. I'll go mid-way and give it an average 3 star rating. Here's what happened: My mom and I wanted to reframe an original watercolor which came to us in a heavy black wooden frame. We intended to put it in a small powder room, in close vicinity to another watercolor that was framed in a delicate rose-gold metal narrow frame. Ideally, we were looking for a similarly toned metal frame (rose gold or similar). We pass this frame shop daily, as my parents live a few blocks away. Upon entering the shop, I was very impressed by the many works of art on the walls here. All were framed expertly. (I worked for years as an interior designer, and I have a degree in the field, so I kinda know professional framing. The works on display here were incredibly done, hand's down). There were original artworks, prints, and some shadowboxes, all showcasing a variety of styles and sizes, some matted and some not. All were framed incredibly beautifully. So my mom and I had confidence that this shop would do a great job on our project. We chose a frame to compliment the existing work in the powder room (it didn't match exactly but was close in rose gold coloration and thickness of the metal frame). The lady behind the counter pointed out the minor buckling of the existing matte and suggested they replace it. She was right, the matte did need to be replaced. Might as well, if we're updating the frame, right? Might as well do it right. She quoted us a price (way higher than I'd estimated, but hey, this is custom work, so I knew it wouldn't be cheap. Still, the artwork was small and it came to roughly $175) and she said it'd take about 6 weeks. My mom paid the 50% deposit. And we waited. The work was ready for pick up 2 months later. When my mom went to get it, she was shocked that the frame was not rose gold but, rather, a pure silver metal. Totally NOT how she remembered her order. And not how I remembered it, either. The lady employee said this has happened quite a bit in the past, where customers don't remember what they ordered, so she got in the habit of taking a photo of the frame that was ordered at the time of ordering. And she showed my mother the photo she took 2 months ago of the frame we ordered. (My mom said the photo was not definitive in how clearly it depicted the metal tones, so it really proved nothing). Now, I was not present when my mom picked up the work. But the sheer fact that the employee said that this issue happened frequently leads me to believe that this is not a one-off occurrence. And I would STRONGLY recommend anyone placing an order here to take their OWN photos of the frame (and matte) they are ordering, and to take notes on everything, as it may be many weeks (or months) until you get your work back. Is it possible that both my mother and I were incorrect in thinking we had ordered a rose gold-hued metal frame, and we instead ordered a silver metal frame instead? Sure, it's possible. But not probable. The work itself was framed and matted beautifully, and it does look nice in the powder room. It's just not how we imagined it to be.

They have a good selection of nice frames of different sizes at reasonable prices. We were able to pick out a frame and print our pictures from her phone on the spot. Not only that, but the nice salesman in the store volunteered to place the photos in the frame and hang a picture wire on it for us, thus saving me about 30 minutes of work at home and doing a much better job of it in the process. I know it's usually easier and cheaper to send things off to Walmart or similar, but for something special there's no substitute for expert and professional service at a place like this.

Nothing is shipped on the promised ship date. Days later, received an email from the probable owner of the store that they actually don't have the model in stock and there is no ETA on the arrival date of next batch. Furthermore, when and IF it finally arrives, the price on the webpage was too low and needs to be raised by $25 for no reason besides "The price has gone up and we can't control it". The owner didn't even apologize or acknowledge that this practice is complete BS. 2) Various emails were exchanged to express my dissatisfaction of the situation. He explained the difficulties of keeping track of his +1 million dollar inventory and the fact that since they're selling it below the MSRP of the product, its fair game to raise it (ya because everyone knows that as long as the price of something you buy is lower than the MSRP of the producut, everyone is getting a killer deal). 3)Finally I agreed on the higher price and unknown ETA because of the fact that I would rather pay a couple of bucks more to support a Canadian business over foreign businesses. HERE'S THE ICING ON THE CAKE: he was nice enough to inform me that the new quoted price is not a firm price anymore! It might go up even more when it actually arrives because his supplier might charge him "fuel surcharge increase, ship rate increase, exchange rate increase and so on, the retail price will reflect any of these increases." (THESE ARE HIS ACTUAL WORDS!) 4) Gave up and bought the same model from another Canadian model store located in Toronto. For the same price as when I bought it originally from the GPM website. I don't know anyone who would've even gone past point 1 before cancelling the order. The level of frustration I received from this store is unimaginable. Please just avoid the possible headaches and avoid these guys at all cost. No wonder they have over 1 million dollar of stocks available. Who would ever buy anything from these guys is beyond me!?

You can spend hours in the store looking at all their car models and the clothing. They have a nice selection of clothing for children. A must visit store for any F1 fan! The owner and the sales people are very nice and very helpful! They always go out of their way to help. Their prices are very competitive. My family and I love this store. I have many friends that come from Toronto and the US to shop here especially during the Grand Prix weekend.
