I tried VIP Detail yesterday based upon its overwhelming positive Yelp reviews (Thanks, fellow Yelpers!). Upon arrival, I was greeted by a genuinely-friendly worker who took the keys to my white BMW X3. I opted for the wash & wax for only $75 (!!!). It was busy, but not crazy-busy, so I got my car back in about an hour. What's odd is that the customers in the waiting area I chatted with were all pretty effusive in their praise of VIP Detail. I've never encountered that whilst waiting at a car wash. Honestly, I have paid way more for details that produced results inferior to VIP Detail's! At the risk of this place getting busier and me having to wait longer next time, this is the best car wash I have ever been to! And, no, I'm not prone to hyperbole...especially when describing a car wash. Did I mention rhat everything is done by hand? I'm going to bring my car to VIP Detail from hereon out. There's an automated car wash right by my office, but they do a shit job for $30. And, you have to vacuum your own ride at the automated places. I'd gladly drive out of the way to VIP Detail to get a result that's orders of magnitude better. Bring your car here and get the wash and wax. You'll be really glad you did (as in, "made your day" kind of glad).

It is very hard to pull in here. Try to come during the work day when maybe there are less people. I made the mistake of coming at noon on Saturday. It was PACKED. 2. BRING A BOOK! It took at least 1.5 hours. Also, even though it was VERY thorough, they did not wash the rubber floor mats. I thought they would. Every other surface was thoroughly washed / wiped. Next time, I will request that explictly.

Cars need to be clean daily like humans lol. Since that particular last unpleasant encounter here, I still come here to get my car wash to see if they have improved. It's been better. I notice morning times are the best services ever due to older staff and young staff being more attentive and accommodating. When it's later in the day after 5pm is when they were under staffed which should be at least 3 staff working at each 3 major stations. 1. The station where the cars first enter to see license plate. 2. At the computer to go through the wash thru. 3. In the office. Having only 2 staff is just not enough unless each 2 staff are so efficient and so attentive not missing a beat to the 3 stations I stated above. Today I had the chance to meet their new manager, David. Nice guy who was polite to me and accommodating. He apologized for last particular encounter and I appreciate that about him. Just glad you guys are improving. But I'm sure this company is rich (having an accounting office in Beverly Hills) so it wouldn't hurt to have at least 3 staff members at each 3 stations working. So no customers including myself won't ever feel helpless like I felt the last particular encounter because there was no staff helping me at all at the entrance etc. Customer service is everything to me and I'm sure to many people of customers out there as well. I for one am #1 in customer service, being my service is always top notch that all my old and new clients are so attached to me. Boy do I have great stories lol. That's why when I go places, if I see any customer service that suck, it's very disappointing. But when I see any customer service that is great and even impressive, it's so refreshing. I'd like to keep coming here for a long time as I have been so I hope they always have only best customer service here. Never let any customers feel helpless here not even one. Convinced the music is loud and obnoxious as a way to hurry patrons along. At least that's the case for me - the music is so loud I'd much rather have ear plugs than a microfiber cloth. Seriously, I feel for the folks who live in the area - it can't be pleasant to have to listen to that music blaring for 8+ hours a day, every day. Yikes! Great vacuum suction, plenty of trash cans and I love when there's an attendant at the pay stations, it makes the process go by much faster. Not great are the soap and/or water systems. Seems this visit, soap was not dispensed from the first third of the soap arch. The intense water spray helped but the entire back side of my car was dirty. Perhaps something could be adjusted or maybe I should get the attention of a manager next time. Convenient, yes. Thorough, not exactly.

The vacuums worked and so did the manual brushes for self serve car wash. Imagine the most basic setup possible: a water hose and bare-minimum necessities. Nothing fancy, slightly sketch, but desperate times call for desperate measures. You need Dollar bills or quarters and then you put them in a machine that exchanges them for gold coins!
