She has kept my back pain free for 10 years. She's also worked on my broken arm last year and my twisted ankle the year before. I now sit properly, walk properly and sleep properly. Again, obviously this place was different!!! One of the reasons I chose My Place was I loved the idea of Stem Wave. I had done some research and thought together with PT that would be the best option for me. I also wanted one on one care. Traditional PT never appealed to me. I have a Niece who is a Physical Therapist in NYC who does one on one PT, and I knew from her that was the way to go. Dani connected me with Dr Paul as my therapist but I was introduced to everyone at the center. I thought that was an amazing touch. It immediately makes you feel like you are a part of their family when greeted by name by everyone each time you arrive. Dr Paul began by listening to my needs and concerns...yes I said he listened to every single little thing and asked questions no-one had asked me before. My plan was well thought out and organized. The best part was I left there with an app and a plan to follow up with at home. The app is great because there are actual videos that walk you through every exercise so they are done correctly. Dr. Paul even videoed himself to ensure I was comfortable with what I was doing at home. Each session I had was a combo of hands on PT, Dry needling, exercise and of course Stem Wave Therapy. After each session, within a day, I would receive a text or phone call asking how I was feeling and if I thought I was progressing in the right direction. I thought WOW!!! Who does this?? Well, Your Place does. You are their top priority and believe me they make you know it! I could not recommend these people more! Each and every one of them are amazing, knowledgeable and professional. I could not have been happier with my results. A couple of months and I am almost good as new. Ken started an extensive program for me for two times a week. Within six weeks I was walking with a cane. I had a bit of a set back due to a flu shot reaction and Ken told me to request a doctors order for treatment for sciatica. That was the trick! Greg implemented therapy for the sciatica as well as for the ankle replacement. Within a couple of weeks I was walking without assistance of any kind. Dr. Frank started with a phone consultation and was an excellent listener. Rather than trying to sell me on services, he took the time to understand why I was there, what I was trying to accomplish, and what I actually needed. I really appreciated that approach. During my assessment, Dr. Cory evaluated my walking mechanics, mobility, hip and lower-body movement, and areas of tightness or weakness. What I appreciated most was that he explained what he was seeing, why it mattered for running, and what I could work on to improve it. I left with specific stretches and exercises targeted toward the areas that needed attention instead of just receiving a generic exercise program. I wasn't there because of an active injury, I wanted to be proactive and learn what I could do now to hopefully prevent problems later.
