Ive been with this office quite awhile-- my nurse practitioner can "suggest" everything to me AND I choose whether to accept it for me. It isnt the therapy that "fixes" the client--:it what that person accepts or not AND applies to their life. Take what you want, and leave what doesn't work. I've "fit" working with most of staff- and am proud of my therapist at this time and appreciate help of the nurse. Ask good important questions and youll receive positive, helping answers. Its up to the client.

( to no fault of my therapist or the business) I was content with missing a session and going the next week. Sue who is my therapist called me personally to make sure I was ok and check on me. I ended up going in and having my session. And for those who want to say or think, no I was not pressured or forced and NO it was not for money. I was going to cancel a few short hours before so it would still be charged even if I wasn't there. It was because of Sue and her sincere concern and here sincerely wanting me to go in and talk things through. To get out what I needed to work on myself and keep on track with what I've been working on. This is what means the world to me. To know she genuinely cares about me as a person and not just another ass in the seat. I would like to add she was and always has been very Profesional and I can also appreciate that. The Director Afrah is childishly unprofessional. I paid $2,700 dollars in April of 2025 for my granddaughter to receive tutoring. In June, my son and daughter had to move out of state and were told by Afrah that we could receive a refund, or possibly have the money transferred to the Sylvan in our new town so we could continue with tutoring. The catch was that we had to wait a month. We did as we were told and called after a month. We spoke with Afrah at one point, and then missed a call from her at another time. When my son-in-law called her back a few days later, she had the audacity to hang up on him three times in a row before he could say a word. There was no argument....nothing. Just hang ups. He called back once more and Afrah (it was definitely her on the line) said he had the wrong number and - when he asked who he'd called - said (with some hesitation) he had called "Bob Moran's Office." Come on! If we weren't able to get a refund that is fine - just tell us that! Don't leave us wondering what in the heck is going on, and insulting our intelligence like she did. To add insult to injury, we have reached out to corporate, but they have never gotten back to us either. The part that makes me feel pretty bad is that I had to tell the woman at the Sylvan here that - although it was no fault of her own - I could never trust a Sylvan again - nor give them my money.....
