My bestie lived in Ewa Beach which I've frequented for over twenty years and driving down you see several little shopping centers but nothing like Laulani Village Shopping Center. I remember when it started to break ground seeing "Safeway coming soon" sign and was definitely excited for the community and my bestie for more options though I was just clueless of what other plans they really had for this area. Adulting along with distance I wasn't around for the final unveiling and really had no idea until a visit with my bestie one day as she was my New Years resolution..."to put our happiness first and see her more" and we had our pedi here, can't remember the place but clearly remember the fun and smiles we had following with Starbucks of course...oh how I miss those days. She's now my angel but I do visit here when I can as there so much to do, shop and get things done the most recent was for her celebration of life and as I created a collage in honor of her life we need a place to get it printed...Yelped a bunch of places but it was 8pm and nothing was available so I drove in Laulani to rethink and...POOF! Walgreens!!! Staff there was amazing and we got it done in minutes and saved our day, so much memories and great wonderful business here including City Mill, Jolene's, Ross and many many services as well. Low on gas Safeway Fuel Station is a must as you get a discount for paying in cash many times no different from Costco. Thank you for the memories and happy moments!

Today I went to Safeway, Jolene's and Ahi & Vegetable. I liked all three locations better than the ones in town. It wasn't as crowded and I liked the open space. I also saw T-Moblie, Ross, Walgreens, City Mill and American Savings Bank in the shopping center.

This shopping center is MASSIVE!…read more Admittedly, I have become a town snob with age. Rarely do I venture outside the "Honolulu" district (Hawaii Kai to Salt Lake is my radius ring) unless a special occasion calls for it. I blame gas prices but really, it's laziness. What brought me out to the 96707 was a new store that popped up just a hop away. Plus I've heard great things about KMA. So why not kill two birds with one stone? I love the array of shops and restaurants! Kapolei in general is bustling with so many shopping centers, you can make a day out of it! I grabbed a shirt from Spencer's, fashion jewelry at Lovisa, and even checked out the movies that day. Will check this place out again with my husband and young boys. There's a bubble play area and a big grassy lawn for active kids. Part two to be continued!

I needed to use the restroom, and luckily, they have a public restroom area. When you walk inside, there is also a cute claw machine place, a nursing area, and an ATM, which is really convenient. Today, I finally visited The Cosmetics Company Store, and I loved being able to walk around and enjoy the samples. My friend also stopped at Mr. Cow to enjoy a Korean corn dog. We've already come here several times for Starbucks, and of course, this is also a really nice Safeway. I truly love the Waikele area. I find it to be one of the nicer parts of town because it feels clean, relaxing, and full of different places to shop and eat. You also have some higher end stores like Michael Kors, plus a brand new Miniso! Every time I drive through this area, I automatically feel a little bit fancier. LOL. I could honestly see myself living here one day just because of all the places there are to visit, shop, dine, and relax. It reminds me of why I love Kapolei Commons so much. Since I'm usually in Kapolei, that is still my regular area, but I would definitely love to spend more time exploring Waikele too. There are even food vendor trucks in the back, which is such a huge bonus. I absolutely love Leonard's Malasadas! If you go toward the side where Mr. Cow is located, you can also find Korean food trucks. There are so many places here that I still haven't discovered, so please don't mind me. Weather you're here to stock up at shop for your groceries at Foodland or take care of your cravings at Domino's, Gina's, L&L, Coco Ichiban, Hawai'i Pot Shabu Shabu, Ninja Sushi, Paco's Tacos, Ramen Bones, Pho Kapolei, and other services available here or what I came for tea...Yi Fang as I do love tea and have chargers at each seating giving me a chance to recharge. There's lots of shared free parking which makes it easy to park and enjoy whatever you're here for as I found myself enjoying the quiet vibe here regardless the bustling amount of cars that constantly come and go you can literally eat, shop and even get some deals with KVC Discount Card. Whenever I try to redeem the discount or a promo, the store treats me like I'm a criminal. Here's a few examples: The Foodland offer: free reusable bag with any $50 or more purchase. I thought this was a great promo, get some grocery shopping done, get a free bag. Win-win. NOT! Some of the workers have no clue about the promo, others say it's only good on the weekends and yet another said the promo expired. Foodland get your act together. I'm spending my money @ your establishment, isn't that a good thing??? (The promo doesn't say weekends only, and the promo is still posted on the KVC site with NO mention of an Expiration Date) L&L offer: 10% of your purchase. When I arrived at the restaurant I showed the cashier the promo ahead of time just in case they weren't gonna honor it, I would eat elsewhere...she looks at it. Asks what is that? Omg really? It's a promo your landlord is offering and you have no idea about it??? She takes my phone and goes to the back kitchen to talk to some guy and asks him about it. The guy says yeah they can accept that. 10% off isn't a real big deal, but I'm helping this establishment by eating there. Smh. So again, the discount program is a joke since the tenants are so resistant to honoring it. I don't understand why? If this brings in the traffic, why not honor it? Instead you make your customers feel like criminals or maybe even worse than that. I grew up shopping @ the Market City Foodland and L&L Hawn BBQ has always been my go-to local plate lunch place so I was elated to see these two tenants here in kapolei, expecting the same great friendly service...boy was I wrong! Love the easy access right off the freeway when I come from town along with entering is easy regardless which direction you're coming from and what I do love more is that whatever the reason that brings me to Kapolei chances are I stop here to either pick up lunch/dinner, pick up something at Safeway, fill up gas or even drop off donations or my recyclables...yup they have it all here. Many places have come and gone which I was sad to see my favorite craft store closing though it's nice to see that it gets filled up with newbies like Shimazu Shave Ice, 85o Bakery along with hand full of restaurants and various serves all are found where with lots of free parking makes it a great place to gather for whatever your needs. So far, I have been here twice recently for the Hawaii State Federal Credit Union. In the past, I was at Sushi Bay... a very popular eatery. I know that there's a Safeway... and I saw some fast food restaurants across the parking lot... and Hele Gas Station! That's good to know! Longs will be useful to me in the future... and maybe 85°C Bakery and Mamaya. I'll be back!

While I do like going to the mall management and its security are running the operations poorly…read more You can't find security anywhere at night. No phone numbers posted in prime areas. The monorail has been out of service for so long it makes getting around difficult. Basically the whole idea went down hill. Elevator and escalators are always out of service making it difficult for seniors and disabled people to gain access. A law suit should be addressed for NOT being ADA compliant. In certain area maintenance of debris and leaves and yard waste does not get picked up often enough. Parking lot strips are so faded the markings are hard to see. Lights are not working and visible in some areas. Management needs to be more active and walking the grounds instead of being in the office all day long. Security needs to be out and about roaming and visible more often. Not just watching a camera.

Shopping around…read more.. The numerous of times I've come here and it's not for the same business as the amount of space that's home to the various types of shops found here is impressive. I do love coming to The Boba Room for my fix, Savers to donate and thrift shop, Chris Peanut Shop II for snacks or many services and restaurants folks do come here for that and so much more. With lots of free parking provided by the shopping center it's a great spot that has several entrance depending on the direction you're coming from, it makes it so easy to shop and support local. Shopping and dining in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. Because my aunty lives in Waipahu, I've been coming to this Shopping Center often. Most of the time, I shop at Longs Drugs Store. Across the parking lot, I have been to the very spacious Starbucks. A while ago, I went to Seafood City Supermarket which is a part of the long row of businesses - Umi Ramen is one of them. Hele Gas is also associated with this Shopping Center. I've patronized this business several times. Now, I know the name of this Shopping Center... haha... the free parking is much appreciated!
