I have posted numerous POSITIVE experiences I've had supporting local businesses from great…read moreservice, this was not one of them. As a local consumer, and business owner, I have dealt with the public before and believe me I have had plenty of bad experiences with clients and positively resolved numerous issues from my business. This was my 1st time trading with Lesmens. It was our 50th wedding anniversary and we needed a speaker and microphone. There was confusion at the facility we chose and weather they had just a mic or speaker. A couple of days prior to the event, the speaker and mic was resolved by the event facility. I called Lesmens to inform them that their service was no longer required and requested a refund. I did sign Lesmens contract for the $150 rental. The answer was no as the 48-hour contractual notification time had expired. At this joyous moment in my life, reading the fine print was not high on my radar. I appealed to their greater conscience and suggested we split the charges as I agree some of it was my fault. The response was still no. I realize business needs to make a profit, but for something so minor as a $150 charge I felt it ridiculous. I will definitely pursue other local venues for my electronic requirements in the future. $150 is a small price to pay for service, in comparison to the REPUTATION that goes a lot further than the measly profit on this order.

Honestly, their selection is horrible and the prices are even worse. I entered the store and wasn't…read moreeven greeted by anyone who worked there. Additionally, this location is in the most dangerous part of Albuquerque so it was shocking to me to have driven all the way there in the war zone to find that their piñatas are low quality and do not look good. I will not be returning. The rude service (more like absent service) just isn't something I can manage when I actively went out of my way to try to support this place and even drove to the "War Zone" to try and support this business.

It's not only a cool new local cafe, but it's also a non-profit, community kitchen, community classroom, and test kitchen. That promotes using local products. They also just started catering for events. The space is comfy, the staff is beyond friendly (I asked the waitress to take photos of me, she was so sweet about it), and I love the view. There is just something about Gold Street that makes me feel like I'm somewhere else. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I treated my friend to brunch and both our meals and drinks came out to a little over $20. Make sure you stop by and support them. We need more initiatives like this in our community.
