What impressed me first was the alley leading through to the restaurant, which I believe is part of a hotel. Its December and the alley was all decked with Christmas lights. I started off with the beef soup with a semolina dumpling. So good! It was piping hot and tasty. My duck sous vide looks amazing as well! That first bite was truly let in your mouth. The dish was flavorful and perfect for my last meal in Vienna. My hubby got the boiled beef, which was good but not as great as my duck . I got one of the mocktails--the Passion Berry--which coincidentally pared well with my dinner. My husband and I shared and apple strudel for dessert. We were impressed! It was definitely house made and fresh as there were bits and pieces of apple (like the stem) in the strudel. We highly recommend Sunnhof and suggest reservations! We got here at 6:15 pm and it was sort of dead. But by 7pm it was hopping!

What a truly gorgeous wedding venue!…read more We were dropped off here, and it was easy to find! There's a gate to walk into the open back area of the venue right off of the sidewalk. When you walk in, there's a paved area to stand. As you walk further out, it becomes apparent as to how big the venue grounds truly are. The venue and couple had set up umbrellas over the ceremony space to shield us from the sun (which was greatly appreciated because the sun was strong). The ceremony went very well. The standing area for the bride and groom was covered well with umbrellas, and they had a microphone set up so that all guests could hear the ceremony. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. After the ceremony there was a bar outside serving drinks. They had tons of water available for us which was amazing due to the high temperature. We got the opportunity to sit and relax at the sitting area inside, where we were given appetizers and finger foods. The food was delicious and fresh. My favorite was the mozzarella. When it was time for dinner, we went upstairs to the most gorgeous dining room. The chandeliers were incredible, and the tables were so eloquently set. It just all fit together so well and such a special feeling. Dinner was a great buffet of all different options. My favorite was the schnitzel and noodles. The fruit salad was also incredible. It tasted a bit minty. The venue has several rooms for different things for a wedding! One room was a photo booth, the other the dining room, the other the dance floor. The staircase lead up to an area where the bride and groom had places pictures of them which was really cool. My favorite part was how they have lights outside at night! The twinkle added to how magical the event was. It looked beautiful!

Expectations: - Guidance and support during preparations - Contact of suppliers focusing on best price/performance ratio - Realization of ideas - Coordination and troubleshooting on wedding day Why JAWE? - Professional presentation; visuals available via social media and homepage - Initial experiences with our Filipino traditions - Appeared to be well structured - Word of mouth from couples who booked JAWE for "On the Day Coordination" What went wrong? - During planning phase: Our ideas seemed to be ridiculous, either JAWE would talk us out of it or ignored them completely. We felt as if we were not taken seriously. If JAWE could not provide a business partner out of its portfolio, we had to do the research ourselves instead. Dissatisfaction was communicated in Dec 2015. - JAWE made every effort with its business partners. Suppliers, which we selected, were treated with less effort. JAWE only recognizes its suppliers as professionals. We did our research and selected suppliers with expertise, one of them even honored with the Austrian Wedding Award. - Our homepage was set up by JAWE but in the end had to be managed by us. Distribution of the electronic "Save the Date" notifications to our guests were left to us, the client. - Our selected church was not even scouted by JAWE at the last meeting (5 days prior church wedding). This was indeed very disappointing. - With respect to coordinating the wedding day: missed church entrance of bride at the right time/Pokemon Go social media entry (instead of coordination in church and taking care of guests)/JAWE refused to distribute the church program or to support the entourage. JAWE assumed everyone participated in the rehearsal on the day before, which was not the case. JAWE did not participate in the rehearsal as we found out during the last meeting that this would have been charged additionally./JAWE was hardly to be found during agape and evening for our best man and maid of honor. JAWE's "On the day coordination" partner was present and showed efforts but did not know the details discussed with JAWE. We were never invited to a feedback meeting which JAWE usually performs with bridal couples. A written complaint was provided to JAWE. In response, we received flimsy excuses which did not correlate with the actual situation, e.g. transportation from church to agape was organized but due to traffic situation the bus could not stop for a very long time in front of the church. According to JAWE, the bus was booked for another appointment and therefore led to hectically urge the guests to the bus right after mass - some guests who left the church a little later were not able to get the lift. The bus company could not confirm the next appointment. One of our guests noticed a comment by JAWE arranging the departure even without guests. If it was not for one of our guests asking the bus driver to drive around and to pick up the rest of the guests then that might have happened. This situation clearly showed JAWE is not fit to work under stress. Coordination was partly taken over by other suppliers and guests. Due to emotional reasons we did not take further steps into a lengthy legal action. We neither received a price reduction offer nor was an apology ever expressed. What worked well? - Appointment organization for civil wedding - Test meal at caterer - Coordination with business partners (catering, location, photographer) Conclusion: If you have a limitless budget and no time for planning, individuality and personal choices are less important and you like to have a ready-made programme then JAWE is the right choice for you. JAWE will chose only known and costly suppliers managing themselves and not supervised by JAWE. In light of the personal time we had to invest, our research and support from our guests, which turned out to be necessary, JAWE as a supplier was a bad investment for us.

Sadly and Tragically, on Days 4 & 5 this turned out to be "FAKE" by another Assistant General Manager named ISABELLA." She betrayed my TRUST quickly by outright LIEING to me that I could re-enter the Gym/Sauna as I requested to take a quick photo for ideas for my home. I was SHOCKED & SURPRISED! Her Demeanor and Attitude instantly "FLIPPED" once I checked-out. I requested to store my luggage until 9 or 10PM, Isabella agreed. I didn't return until the next morning to retrieve my luggage and thanked her for the storage. I moved my luggage into the lobby while I was ordering a UBER Ride. However, for some unbeknownst reason[s] she became irrate when I requested to know if a room was available for another night. She stated I was NOT welcome back because the room had a "BAD SMELL." I informed her that I had requested to NOT have ANY ROOM SERVICES for the Five [5] days and should be commended for being a GREEN FRIENDLY CONSUMER, NOT BANNED! I was following their Corporate Policies to be a GREEN FRIENDLY PROPERTY yet I was now being treated like a CRIMINAL. As I awaiting for the UBER Vehicle, 3 men 'SNATCHED" ALL of my Luggages WITHOUT my Permission NOR Consent and physically moved them outside onto the sidewalk UNNATTENDED. ¡ UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCONSCIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES BY ISABELLA!!! I advised Isabella I will be REMOVING the Hlowing 5 Star Review and Repkacing it with this 1 Star Review, SHE SIGHED AND LAUGHED! The central location of this hotel is great. It is, as stated in other helpful reviews, a short 5…read moreminute walk from the central train station (near signs for Gates 11-12) This is great to avoid having to arrange a ride. There is a mini-market next door to the hotel where you can get fruit, snacks, beverages, sandwiches, and hot food. Everything you might need for a meal (or other things) for a reasonable price. The hotel room was clean. I thought the carpet needed cleaning but perhaps there is a schedule for that. The single room was adequate for my stay. I like the temperature cold in summer months. It felt cold when I was up and about. Once I got into bed, it seems to go up automatically. Otherwise, breakfast was inviting and the stairs are open and very accessible allowing me to use them frequently. All in all, I enjoyed my quiet stay at this hotel and would stay here again.
