First, I have to say that the therapists here are top notch. However, Evolution Physical Therapy charges 2 irregular fees. 1. Parking fee - They charge a fee for the pleasure of parking in their lot. This is lame and irregular, but not the biggest deal. I believe that they will even take off this fee if you ask. 2. Wellness fee - They charge $2.99 a week for an added on fee. They didn't inform me of this fee when I re-signed up last month after a break that started in July. This is quite frustrating since it wasn't there just a few months ago. If this is common practice, I will happily remove this review if a couple of PT business names can be provided to me that use similar fees for patients paying with insurance. read more

I highly, highly recommend seeing Symiah at Evolution physical therapy in playa vista! I've been to about 5 different physical therapy locations over the years for various sport-related injuries and I'm blown away by the level of care and attention I get here. The facility is fantastic and all the PTs here seem amazing, but I couldn't be happier with my experience with Symiah. I started seeing her following a meniscus repair surgery and she's quickly and safely helped me regain so much of my strength already, while keeping our sessions fun, challenging and interesting (I've been to other pt's where the sessions start to get boring repeating the same exercises, but she mixes things). I still have a few more months of recovery left, but I have no doubt I will be able to return to sport stronger than before. read more

However management/owners do not keep the facility clean. To expect the professional staff to do the cleaning is really out of line and shows a certain lack of respect for their employees. I love it here! I started with personal training to get ready for my wedding. I've had a great experience with Raham, who focusing on functional strength training. Since it's a physical therapy facility as well, the trainers are experienced in strength training while avoiding injury. I've also started to go to the morning classes a few days a week, which have been fantastic (especially David's 6am classes)! So happy I picked Evolution! read more

Just canceled all my forthcoming appts. Evolution PT is not a physical therapist I would recommend. They are incredibly difficult to contact, they never pick up the phone, they take a day or two to return emails and/or voicemails. I had to resort to calling the Beverly Hills office (who picked up right away) to reschedule an appt as no one was getting back to me (after O called them once an hour, every hour) and I didn't want to be charged the $75 fee if you don't cancel 24 hours in advance. They took 7 sessions to verify my insurance information and send me a bill for my copay. And asked for my DOB in the presence of other clients in the reception area (ah, can you say HIPPA violation?). I also never received my at-home exercise plan, so had to do it from memory. To at insult to injury (ha), the place is run down, dirty and their equipment looks like Soviet era Rocky IV second hand rejects). Slap some paint on, already! They also charge $1.50 for parking, in an area where parking is free ... it's embarrassing, actually. When i asked to speak to the manager, they sent me the manager of the PT's and not the office manager, because surprise, surprise, the office manager was gone at 4:30. As they say, the fish stinks from the head down). He the proceeded to dully placate me and give me excuses for all their failings. While his efforts we valiant, he wasn't even the appropriate person to talk to, and it came off as condescending. When I asked him to cancel my sessions, he informed me he couldn't, I'd have to deal with the office. Again, total lack of customer service, so I was yet again forced to deal with the awful reception staff. To cancel my sessions, the 3 receptions that were there ignored me standing in front of them until I asked to be helped and they then put me in front of a computer to zoom with someone to cancel. This place has a shit show. Highly recommend passing on this place, it's an absolute joke ... they clearly do not care about the level of service they provide nor their patients. read more

Super Frustrating - can't reach them. I haven't yet tried their therapy yet, so this is just a review on their customer service. It's really hard to get through to them on the phone - you usually have to leave a voicemail and wait til they call you back. Today they called me during a very important work meeting, so I called them back many times today and no one is calling me back. No one is answering their phone. I was told that I would be receiving an email after they reviewed my insurance twice this week but I didn't receive anything or any notification that my appointment is on Monday. I also received an email once from the Playa Vista location when my appointment was for Culver City. I have so many questions before my appointment on which location am I going to and if they have reviewed my insurance but no one is returning my calls. I ike to know that my doctor or therapy offices are reachable, so I'm opting to cancel my appointment now before I regret it (can't imagine what it's like when you're actually working on insurance paperwork with them) read more

I really enjoyed coming here for PT. The front desk staff is very nice and I never had a problem making or changing an appointment. My appointments were usually early in the morning so I was able to find parking their parking lot right by the building, but they have another parking lot across the street... both are free! They charged a 2.99 facility fee aside from my copay each visit. You can ask the front desk more about this fee but it does come with some benefits. My PT was Brenee and she was very knowledgeable and put me to work! I was dealing with some knee pain and she helped me fix my muscle imbalance and showed me corrective exercises to address the issue. Overall vibe of the place is nice, feels very sports-oriented compared to other PT places. I will definitely return for any future PT needs. read more

This is an amazing place for rehab. The PTs are very capable and knowledgeable (Jessica is especially amazing) and they have group classes some of which are covered by insurance (Upper body with Nicole is my personal fave). They also have Pilates which insurance may also cover. I very much recommend this place! read more

A number of years ago a good friend who's a physical therapist (different specialty than I needed) recommended I see Devin at Evolution. I thought I was going to need surgery for a torn meniscus in both knees, but we worked through it and now have full function and no pain. I've since returned to Evolution (I always start with Devin for diagnosis) for issues with my ankle, lower back/SI joint, and most recently a herniated disc/sciatica. Each time we got right to the heart of the problem and therapy quickly resulted in lasting pain reduction and return of function. Dr. Candace Cox is absolutely AMAZING! Candace was recommended by my doctor after a meniscus repair, and she was able to fit me in her busy schedule right away, to help me with PT post surgery. Candace is very knowledgeable, she is always patient and very informative to everything we are working on during our PT sessions. Candace developed a plan for me to get back on track with the recovery while I'm back to my busy work. She always giving me encouragements to work harder, and providing inputs to help with my exercise forms and recovery. My first choice for physical therapy! They know how to get you back healthy! I unfortunately I had an accident a couple of years ago. I went there to address back issues! Then another accident three years later brought me back! It doesn't matter the PT, they will take care of you! If you want to get back to your pre-accident health, come here! I have been going here for a few months based on a referral from a friend I play volleyball with. I have a SLAP tear, bursitis and impingement of the right shoulder, and I was in a lot of pain serving and hitting in volleyball until I met Michael N (Mike). I have to say I was a little surprised how truly effective my first treatment was with Dr. Robin. I have never done physical therapy before, but my shoulder was killing me after a dog ran into me and I fell and hurt my shoulder. I kept waiting for it to get better and it never did. So, on recommendation from a doctor, I made my way to Evolution PT. The treatment was not long, and the exercises and manipulation didn't seem particularly comprehensive, but when I was done I felt so much better! And she measured the angle of my arm when I raised it, and it had improved 20 degrees. In just one treatment. Robin gave me exercises which I grudgingly do, and every time it makes my shoulder a little better. This place is spacious and airy (and very millennial) with both private rooms for treatment as well as a communal central room with various weight training implements and treatment tables. They have their own parking lot, which is a good thing, because there is hardly anywhere to park on the street. This is a top notch place and I look forward to further treatments. read more

I'm so glad that I was referred to Evolution PT by my orthopedic surgeon because I have had a really great experience so far. I started physical therapy in January this year due to a torn hip labrum because I really did not want surgery. I only have amazing things to say about my whole experience and progress with my injury so far. The staff is amazing, especially by physical therapist Bo! Bo has stuck with me for months and months as I heal this stubborn injury. He is extremely talented and caring as a PT. He has listened thoughtfully to all of my concerns, setbacks, and wins. He has progressed me from pain with most movements to getting back to weight training and exercising with no pain. Currently working on getting back to running, and even though I can get impatient, Bo has stayed patient and confident that I will get back to running. I am probably 95% better than I was when I started going to PT earlier this year. I highly highly recommend Evolution PT and working with Bo if you can :) read more

Eventually my regimen became much more athletic, which I appreciate since this got me back to peak physical ability in addition to regaining strength in my leg (I had a tib/fib fracture with hardware installed way back in 2018). First off, left several voicemails, never heard back. Then I finally got someone who said they would check PT's availability and call me back, never did. Finally I get an appointment but it's a month away, understandable...the day comes for my long awaited appointment and I call in the morning to confirm address...call and call and call for 3hrs no one is picking up the phone. Finally 30mins before appointment (already have my MIL drive up from orange county to watch my newborn) someone picks up and when I say I have an appointment today with manreet they tell me "oh she called in sick today, no one called you?"....I was in disbelief...this place is incredibly unprofessional, unreliable and I will not be making another appointment. Now I have to wait 1.5months for another PT place when I just had a baby via c section and I'm in SO much pain...really disappointing read more

Things started great with EPT, i was very happy to finally get help and pain relief for an injury I suffered years ago.it was a worker's comp claim and It seemed easy enough. I attended 8 sessions then things turned terrible. I had to take 2 weeks off because i got an epidural, my PT did not submit an update and the claims person did not request an extension. So then I lost an additional 4 weeks and it was only when i called and called and called that they followed up. Now i am almost done with the 4 sessions and no one knows if the approval has been given for the additional sessions my doctor submitted for and no one has called me to confirm they need any information even though I specifically asked so there wouldn't be a lapse in session. They have not been able to manage my case well at all and I am suffering for it. Its really unfortunate. read more

When I arrived at Evolutions I could barely walk with hip and back pain. Steve was kind and professional. Over a period of 8 weeks I was able to walk without pain. Evolutions is the best Physical Therapy I've ever experienced at 71 years old. I'm a retired R.N. of 40 years and a former bad ass so I've had my share of physical therapy through my adult life. Steve is not only a brilliant therapist with adjunct therapies that really make a huge difference in recover but a kind and professional person. Do not use these people. They will bill you, you pay the bill, and they keep sending it to you. You call their billing office. They acknowledge your bill has been paid, and tell you the bill was sent in error. They send you the same bill next month, you call them a second time, they acknowledge your bill has been pad, and repeat that the bill was sent in error. And it keeps happening. I just got my fourth bill. Go somewhere else. No one needs this. read more
