Overpriced and mostly low quality. I got 2 tattoos from here , it was decent but wayyy too much for what it was . But my 2nd tattoo ? It was ridiculously expensive, and he didn't even saturate it remotely close to what it was supposed to be . Now I have black lettering on my forearm, that , honestly, looks like zebra print . If I could give this place no stars I would. I walked in hoping to get a navel piercing (I'm 17), I was with my mom and the front desk lady didn't have the best customer service attitude so I already felt somewhat unwanted there (she was blonde and had her hair in a bun). She said the piercer Nickolas needed to check my navel to see if I had the right anatomy to get the piercing and then she asked for my age which I told her I was 17. She said she needed a birth certificate which I didn't bring which wasn't an issue I was fine with going home and picking it up. I asked if she could ask Nickolas to check to see if I could get the piercing before my mom drove all the way home and back, which she replied with an attitude "No you can't". I was being respectful and just said okay and went and got my birth certificate. When I got back to the shop (the drive was almost 35 mins in total to and from the shop) Nickolas immediately came out there and asked to see my navel. He took one glance at it and said "No you can't ever get a belly piercing. It's the way your stomach kind of overlaps I won't do it." in such a way that made me feel bigger than what I actually am. I left and went to New Addiction and the environment was amazing, everyone was super chill and nice and had GREAT customer service. I talked to my piercer about the situation and he said Nickolas is KNOWN for making people feel fat and just overall bad about their bodies. I would totally not recommend people to go here. Love, love, love EvoInk. The owners are an awesome couple and care about whir customers and staff. They even occasionally have guest artist, and treat them like family. I've had majority of my work done at this shop. Even though I live in the DC area now, I always go back to EvoInk when I get the urge for some ink. I've never had a piecing done here, but I expect it's the same quality of work as tattoos. The prices aren't sky high neither! Generally between the artist and the owner, Miss Betty, you can get to an agreeable price. They also offer after care products and jewelry. While you wait they have pool tables and a computer bar where you can surf for your next tattoo. The shop is up to date and well maintained. The shop is always kept clean too! Sometimes they have room for walk-ins, but it's best to make an appointment so the artist can have ample time to complete your work. I hope you all enjoy EvoInk as much as I do!!! read more

Got my first tattoo today today and it was great. Terri was super welcoming and helpful, and George did an awesome job. I was really nervous about it, so it helped that my friends could be with me while I was getting it. I especially liked how clean, bright, and sharp looking the place is. Sounds weird, but I've seen people get tattoos at dull places that gave you a dark feeling. Evolution Ink has a nice big waiting area with computers to help you chose exactly what you want. My son went in and asked for an all white tattoo. The guy didn't want to do it so he gave my son the tattoo HE wanted to tat. It is not only a basic poorly done tattoo.The tattoo was in the wrong color. Black and red, not white like he asked for. My son is young and non confrontational. Awesome place to get pierced. Love that it's family friendly. Our five year old wanted to get her ears pierced but we wanted to avoid the ear piercing guns that they use at Claire's and just about everywhere. I messaged the staff at Evolution Ink to make sure that they would pierce my daughters ears and they wrote back within minutes that they absolutely would. Right when we walked in everyone was very nice and helpful. Jasper, our piercer, was super friendly and came out to meet us and talk to my super nervous daughter which helped a lot. At the last min I decided to also have my septum pierced while we were back there. After we walked back he took a min to joke around with our daughter as he got everything ready. She cried after the first ear but it didn't phase him. He calmed her down and got her ready for the second one. She loves her new earrings and really likes that he used a labret stud in each ear so that it doesn't poke her when she sleeps. Next it was my turn. Talk about nervous! I even jerked back a little as the needle went through my nose but he held strong and the piercing is perfect! He said septums are his favorite and I can see why! He's excellent! 100% happy with our decision to choose Evolution Ink for our piercings!! Thanks Jasper and staff! Also, as a side note, I've seen a few reviews complaining about the price. Tattoo blowout complements of Rob with 19 years of experience! I received this small wrist tattoo on 1/5/19 and immediately started having problems the following day. No, this was not my first tattoo but definitely the worst! I called with my concerns but never got a return call from Betty. Instead, the owner and I have been messaging back-and-forth. I was told I had to follow back up with Rob since he was the one who did the tattoo. So, I drove 1 hour and 45 minutes to evolution ink for Rob to tell me you never know who this can happen with, and he can only fix it without a white outline. Google that suggestion and ask anyone who is a reputable tattoo artist, and they do not recommend that. Rob, this happened because you went too deep with the ink! I also asked Betty for at least a refund on the tattoo or even compensation towards laser treatments. My response was can you come back into the shop and let me look at it? Going into the shop weekly is not going to change the appearance of this ghastly, embarrassing tattoo! Besides, I DO have a job! During this time, no apology, not one phone call and no compensation offered! My girls and I have been here several times because of the courteous staff and family friendly atmosphere. To say I am disappointed and disgusted is an understatement! Obviously, you do not stand behind your tattoo work. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will not be returning! The selection of artists is very wide with most of them very competent in the field of tattooing with plenty of years of experience. The customer service is by-far some of the best I've ever seen and the shop itself is very clean and has an enjoyable ambience to it. Each artist has their own respective shop section and makes it feel very homey to the way they want it with art and what-not put up around. Some artist will let you play Xbox while getting tattooed or your friend while they wait. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's wants to get work done in the Fayetteville area, if you're a soldier they're very flexible with our varying schedules. The only downside I can say is they're a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, a medium piece and small cost $400+$40 tip for what I would've expected to of been around $300-350. read more

Would recommend anyone against from ruining their skin permanently. They claim they do free touch up work within 90 days, however I do not trust anyone from this store after having my skin messed up. After spending $450 on first tattoo with tip and tipping subsequent artist $140 for touch up who later did not want to do any sort of touch up after even within 90 day time frame, now am seeking to have tattoo's removed. My first experience here was good but when I came back to get a touchup from Richard because his work was patchy and the lines were too thin in some places he was rude as hell. He kept speaking to me like I was stupid and rolling his eyes when i showed him what i needed to be touched up. I had an appointment set up and he pulled someone into the room in front of me. I never asked for a reduced rate! I pay for work done. You did not call us about the appointment that had been cancelled due to your artist being in treatment for his addiction. This was my second time at Evolution ink and I went to go get my belly button re pierced. The price was a little high for the price (around double)of an average belly piercing.The whole process seemed rushed and my piercing ended up getting infected even though I took good care of it... Don't even bother!!! I scheduled an appointment and showed up the 15 minutes early. As I sat there, after filling out the paperwork, I noticed my artist, Nathan, was just beginning to do another tattoo. I asked the front desk girl and she said that he was a 'last minute' drop in. I explained to her that I scheduled the appointment 3 days ago, rearranging my schedule to be here on time. I immediately asked for a refund from the manager...he apologized and refunded my $50 deposit. I'm originally from Detroit, MI and I have four previous tattoos prior to this one. So I got my tattoo yesterday afternoon wasn't many people there so it seemed to be a good time. I had already been there before and because I was working and in school full time I was never able to pull the trigger and get the ink I wanted. The place was nicely decorated and looked very well taken care of. My complaint was with the artist Tracy. Although she was recommended by the front receptionist as really great, her attitude and entire demeanor was terrible. She grudgingly worked with me to give me the tat I wanted. My suggestions were treated as if they were a bother. Every comment I made was answered with an eye roll or a snide remark. I told her exactly how I wanted a previously drawn piece of art to be changed, but she barely listened. Her work was fine, but it wasn't exactly the one I wanted because she just wasn't listening. Ad at the end, she blew off a fix I wanted to make. Some other artists stations were decorated really well and were interesting. Her station was pretty empty with no imagination. I've been going to evolution ink for a few months now, mostly for small tattoo work, and I've worked with several artists. However, I've worked with Shane F. most consistently and he is a true artist. He has done such amazing work that I referred a friend and she got the most beautiful back piece done by him and he just started working on my half sleeve. My friend and her husband are in LOVE with it and my husband and I could not be happier with how mine has turned out so far and we're thrilled to see what it will look like when it's completed. Shane is an excellent artist and can work awesomely with colors and black and white tattoos.
