I made the big mistake of going to MADD Studios to get my other nostril pierced (BigTop did the 1st one btw) bcuz BigTop had JUST closed and my Sister was visiting from Ohio & we REALLY wanted to get stabbed together long story short I just changed the jewelry and my piercing is SO CROOKED NOW I have to get it re-pierced. FFWD to 2 weeks ago, I again had the itch to get stabbed so I went to BigTop (Peoria) and my guy was there! I asked him what did he suggest and he suggested I start an ear project. He did my Tragus & 2nd holes and I LOVE THEM they are healing beautifully and he talked me through the entire process leaving me calm and confident I can't wait to do my conch/rook in a few weeks! The shop is very clean, the staff is super knowledgeable and kind, and the prices are reasonable and worth the quality of the service you receive! I'm VERY picky about tat shops because of the risk of blood borne pathogens but I'm never scared or worried when getting any body mods here. 10/10 across the board! Whether you are a pro at getting piercings or more on the timid/anxious side, you're in good hands with these guys!

What I got vs. what I wanted.... Artist did not remember…read moreplacements even when told multiple times. Did not stencil properly and used sharpie to "fix" it. Used sharpie to free hand and when messed up, did not wipe away, went to get different color sharpie. When finished did not ask if I liked it. Line-work was poor. When asked to be fixed, resistant to criticism. Was very uncomfortable and stopped mid session. Not satisfied. Left having to pay $125. Follow up: I honestly did not want to come back but I was very upset especially over the holidays with seeing family and knowing that the poor craftwork from Alex and Billy is permanent. Although Billy did say he would do a free touch up (as if he is used to having to correct his apprentices' work), he very much so gaslighted me. I lose out on $125 for a PERMANENT and poorly done tattoo that I am not satisfied with. My advice to all is to thoroughly do research before going to Sin In Skin Ink or just do NOT go at all.

I have heard nothing but negative things from their patrons ranging from a rude staff/owner to not taking suggestions or concerns of clients seriously. One of my close friends was so uncomfortable after voicing concerns about the look of the piece that she ended the session early due to hostility from the owner and artist. If you have a piece very important to you, I suggest you take it elsewhere.

Ive been sitting here for the past 30 minutes and no one is here. I have placed 14 calls and no answer. Straight to voicemail and the box is full so you cant even leave a message. This place is so unprofessional. I had previously gone here another weekend i was in town for nipple piercings and the piercer was rude and my left piercing is crooked. I guess they dont care about their customers. If i could give zero stars i would.
