This is my first time using a charging station. It's easy to use and very explanatory. It has both 100kw and 350kw options.

EV Charger Expert - EVIQO Level 2 EV Charger NEMA 14-50 plug-in model to NEMA 14-50 outlet

EV Charger Expert proposed installing a smart plug that would monitor demand, and should demand overtax the existing service, throttle back demand from the car charger. That cost $1550 plus a $600 smart plug. The work was done quickly and it worked for Night One. I'm happy.

Overall, the job was completed successfully, passed inspection, and avoided a costly panel upgrade. But there were also a few areas where the process could have been handled more proactively. What I appreciated: * Technical expertise & cost savings: My service panel is limited (90A), and other contractors immediately suggested an expensive underground service upgrade. Kirill performed load calculation and recommended using an Emporia Pro charger with dynamic load management. That solution allowed me to safely add both the EV charging outlet and the microwave circuit without upgrading the service panel. * Permits & documentation: They provided the required licensing, insurance documentation and handled the city permitting and inspection process. The final inspection passed without issue. * Responsiveness: Communication was generally clear via email regarding quotes, scheduling, and permit updates. Where I believe the process could improve: We encountered a major obstacle when it was discovered that the crawl space was blocked by a concrete foundation wall, preventing wire routing as originally planned. Initially, there wasn't a clear alternative proposed. I ended up suggesting routing the wiring through the ceiling instead. While the team evaluated and successfully implemented that solution, I would have preferred if alternative routing strategies had been proactively identified earlier in the process. I also want to acknowledge Erin's craftsmanship. When we ultimately routed the wiring through the ceiling, he carefully navigated around existing plumbing lines and made precise cuts to minimize disruption. The finish work was clean and well executed. In the end, the installation works well, passed inspection, and achieved the primary goal of adding EV charging without a major panel upgrade. I would recommend them for homeowners with limited electrical capacity, especially if dynamic load management is needed.

They have so much cool stuff from local artists, SO MANY stickers, stationery, artist prints, blind boxes and Pokémon cards. Great for gifts, and especially a good spot if you're visiting from out of town looking for unique local finds The owners and the staff are incredibly sweet and welcoming. Shop is right across from FAAS, so a perfect chance to visit the kitten room too or pet some adorable bunnies. Also huge shoutout to South Shore Cafe for one of the best breakfasts on the island. Staff also is incredible and always a 10/10. Support local!

The female worker at the cashier wanted to get her family in (they were right in front of us) and lied to the rest of the line that was in the building already they it would be fine. Her family was the only family that was allowed to take professional photos with Santa before security came to cut the line off. Nepotism at its finest despite the fact it was already 4p. Common sense and common courtesy was lacking in Christmas spirit today. Luckily, Santa had the Xmas spirit and took selfies with the rest of us in line (the long line outside, I'm not so sure). The employees need to be trained in managing the line better and cutting it off before people stand in line for over an hour. Thanks, Santa! Next year they should have two monitors - one to take the photos and the other so people can select. Then all the employees can be doing something useful at all times to keep the line moving along. Otherwise, it was the same person - the photographer taking the photos, helping choose the photos, explaining the packages, etc. Super inefficient when there is a line - you could tell they weren't used to it.

The last two times I visited here I was at 3% - its not fun. They put this snail or turtle on the dash - and you get this message - something like - you don't have as much power. I once tried to merge onto the highway with this snail on the dash and my little rocket had less power than a 1984 240d - and if your not sure what that is - only thoughts and prayers can get you up to speed in those. Great for IG photos and for looking at on the driveway - but not that pleasant of a daily. I like the Raley's grocery store and there is a coffee shop inside that overlooks the little moat beteween Alameda and Oakland - its a fine place to hang for 45 minutes while it charges - that is if it worked. The last two times the broken charger was of course open and the other working one taken. I think there are only two chargers. Some can charge two cars at one time but I don't think these.... I'm not exactly sure though since it was down each time I went. There was a sign on the broken EV charger. Read something like they knew that it was down and they were fixing it. There are so many private EV chargers on the map - and when you are low with range anxiety and the snail its not a good place to be. That night I ended up going home and getting 15% over night - something that could be done here in 6 minutes if it worked. That 15% did get me the next day to a working charger a bit more away in the Alameda landing shopping center.
