NatWest

I don't actually bank with Natwest but have often been inside this branch with a friend…read more There is always a queue for the counter service so give yourself plenty of time to visit. There's is usually a shorter queue for the help desk and the staff are always really helpful. They have private rooms for discussing your account in confidence or if you need to sort your overdraft, loan etc. Their 'quick pay' service is a small postbox on the wall and not very secure in my opinion. There are cash points inside as well as outside; the outside ones are usually quite busy. Overall, it's clean and tidy inside with friendly staff, it's just the queues that let it down.
I really don't think this branch of natwest is suitable for the amount of people that use it,…read morewhenever I go in there is always a queue right up to the door, which means that if you need something from the cash counter, you're in for a long wait as they don't often have many staff on, which surprises me as there always seems to be lots milling about the place, just not on the tills. On the upside whenever I go in, despite the wait the customer service is always excellent, and very rarely need to wait for an issue with my account to be resolved. They have 2 cash machines in the branch, which is useful because often the ones in the wall outside are being used by people who don't actually bank with natwest, so they rarely use the ones inside and they usually have little or no queue.

Having banked with the Abby for many years & used the financial advisors for advice on investments,…read moreI would recommend the services of this branch. The staff are both friendly & knowledgable about the services they provide. Of course it's now called Santander but the service is still the same. I base this review on a visit to another high street bank with my partner, who was in my opinion badgered to buy/take up services that we didn't need or want. Never had that in the Abby.

He is from Billingham which is where Im from and what made me go for him to start with but he covers the entire UK so don't worry he can help you out. Like I said he got me a great deal on a fairly small mortgage on my council house (I got a great discount through the right to buy scheme) but he said he does all types of mortgages and as an independent mortgage broker he has access not just to the high street lenders but also many more that ordinary people like you and me don't know about. Great guy and a great mortgage.. give him a call if your after a mortgage.

It usually has poster displays in the window showing if there are any products on offer or any special savings rates available. As you enter you normally get a nice greeting. There are two cashier positions available and even if the assistants are serving they usually give you eye contact and a smile. Customers are usually dealt with quickly and effectively, but I feel that they try to give a personalised service. The staff are attentive and efficient and if there ever are any problems these are dealt with effectively. A pleasant banking experience.
This branch of Darlington Building Society is located on Stockton High Street, up near the church…read more It's not really on the High Street, although in a sense it is! It's on a separate road sort of set back from the main High Street. It's a pleasant little branch. The staff are friendly and helpful and I am always pleased with the service received in the branches. I have a number of accounts with them, I have a savings account myself, and both my children have savings accounts. I also have my mortgage with the Darlington Building Society at the moment. I did have one or two issue with the way the head office handled my mortgage and caused unnecessary delays, but the branch staff have always been very helpful.

The staff are always polite and it always looks tidy inside. I've never had to queue here so even when I drop my quick payment envelopes off I can hand them directly to the staff behind the counter. As an account provider I wouldn't recommend Barclays but, as a branch, this is one of the better ones.

This branch is right next to Bells in town and very convenient. There is a cash machine outside. Unlike Natwest I find that a suitable number of desks are open and the queues move very quickly. The girls are polite and helpful. There is also a selection of free pens available! If their interest rates were better I'd move to them for my current account too! Overall this is a great bank with good customer service.

The staff in this branch are really friendly and always go out of their way to be helpful. I can't fault the staff at all and would definitely recommend this branch. I have savings accounts with the Darlington Building Society, and also have my mortgage with them at the moment. I've had my issues with the Head Office being slow and causing unnecessary delays with my mortgage, but I have to say the staff in the local branch were always helpful and they did whatever they could to help speed things up for me.
