I would often be in trouble for drinking a quart of milk at dinner, and then not wanting to finish the food. There was something special about their milk for me. When I would go down to the valley to stay with family, they would have some other dairy products, and I could drink the milk there, it just didn't taste right to me. When I moved away after high school, I stopped drinking milk altogether except when I visited the folks, or was at a Guard meeting in Susanville. May sound strange, but it a true story. Wonder what they feed those cows?

The only critique I have was that our Turkey Bagel BLT were missing the bacon but then again, we were the last employees to show up, we waited until the queue was shorter so they may have run out of certain ingredients. But overall, the everything bagel and cream cheese were tasty, and a free-lunch is a free-lunch; so overall, we had great initial dining experience with the Morning Glory Food Truck.

Large room full of reasonably organized books. And it could easily hold a lot more. 2. I found the book I've been seeking (without the help of Amazon) - The Source by James A. Michener, and in decent shape. 3. My bonus book purchase was The Milepost (Alaska Travel Planner 2024) at a nice discount. This scope of this book extends into the Alaska Highway and beyond and serves as one of my "some day" books. 4. Nice and helpful store staff. 5. A slightly leaky air conditioner gave me a little refreshment coming in. :) 6. Credit cards accepted and via dial up!

This is a lovely quilt shop! I stopped in the other day while on a roadtrip with my family - and…read morestayed a little longer than my family probably would've liked! The shop is conveniently located right off the highway just south of Susanville, CA. The parking lot is large and there are rocking chairs on the front porch where your family can relax while you shop! (So I felt less guilty for taking so long. ) There are so many beautiful fabrics in every color, lots of kits and precuts too. They had a large selection of Kaffe Fassett fabrics, some Art Gallery, lots of batiks, and some good blenders. I got a lovely little pile of fabrics- and the prices were pretty average for a quilt shop. The owner and her granddaughter were so welcoming and helpful too. It is definitely worth stopping by!

Dale is the owner, manager and as far as we can tell, only employee. After shopping here for years we have learned his prices are usually better than the competition and his knowledge and helpfulness are by far better. This is the type of local business that we need to KEEP in business. Yes. This place is that good! He has OLD STUFF you probably can't find anywhere else! He is low tech. Doesn't use a computer. But he has amazing old fashioned but up to date catalogs and seems to know where to find whatever you want. Dale may likely never read this review. But that's ok. Sometimes old school works even better than high tech!
