The offer phentermine, HCG injections, B12 injections, and dietary plans as well as a selection of dietary supplements for purchase. I completely avoided the supplements as they seemed overpriced and not that appealing. Their doctor is only in 2 days a week, Wednesday and Saturdays, and apparently the scuttlebutt around the waiting room is that he is always late..... Anyway- as I am writing this review it is 11:30 and I am still waiting .... I ended up leaving around 12:40 or so. So, yeah- it was a suuuuper long wait but at the end of the day I was fairly impressed. They prescribed me phentermine which I expected, but only after they gave me an EKG, which most places don't do. I met with the doctor and he answered all my questions and the program was explained . They do weekly weigh ins for accountability and I am overall stoked about the progress to come. If, the process hadn't taken 4 hours this would be a five star review. After I left, I was hit with a bill for almost $1,000.00 for services rendered, despite my being told it was covered by insurance and paying my co-pays in advance. I provided all of my insurance information, and I was assured that the blood work would be covered. I had blood work done initially, and before my second appointment, I was strongly encouraged to have another blood test so that the provider could review my numbers. I repeatedly asked whether my insurance would cover the additional blood work and was told that it would. The problem was that I never received the results from either blood test. Every time I called to ask for my blood report, I was given a different response. Sometimes I was told that they could not provide the results over the phone but could email them, yet I never received anything. When I went in for another IV appointment and asked for my blood report, no one seemed to know where the report was. Eventually, I was told that the blood sample sent to the laboratory could not be properly analyzed, so they needed to draw my blood again. I agreed and had the blood drawn a second time. Once again, I repeatedly called and asked for the results but received no clear answers. When I returned for another IV appointment and asked again, the staff seemed to be trying to figure out where the report was, despite the nurse practitioner previously emphasizing how important it was to review my numbers before continuing with treatment. Later, I was informed that the blood sample was not usable before the testing could be completed. Now I have received a bill for more than $300 for blood work, yet I never received any results or meaningful benefit from the testing. Trying to resolve the billing issue has been equally frustrating. The laboratory says they completed their part and directs me back to NIVA. NIVA says it is a billing service issue, but when I call the billing service, no one answers or returns my calls. Overall, I found the experience to be very disorganized, irresponsible, and frustrating. After only a few appointments, I decided not to return. Unfortunately, I am now stuck receiving repeated bills for more than $300 for blood work that I never received results from.
