The thing that really makes this store is the staff. After a recent eye test by one of the friendly optometrists I was handed over to Trent. His job (as far as I can tell) is to help people find the most flattering pair of glasses through a process of patient comparison. He was awesome and spent a good 30 minutes following me around the store, suggesting frames, and carrying them all in a little box so I could then look at them all together. He was a great help and made my experience actually fun, instead of the usual "I want to poke my eyes out" ordeal that comes with buying new frames. So, apart from Trent, OPSM Hub has a number of playback video screens scattered around the store. How do they work? Strut about in front of the screen in your potential new frames one after the other, and then play them all back in a row so you can compare. Genius.

This little boutique optometrist in Elwood really opened my eyes…read more Nestled in the Ormond Road shops, a tiny little shop that you really have to see to believe. The design is quirky and the range is fantastic. So many incredible frames and styles. The staff are tremendously friendly and know style and fashion, also they're passionate about what they know which was incredibly refreshing. Maybe I'm being too blasé about handing out the 5-star rating but you just really don't get a start to finish experience like this often. I emailed them first asking to order in a specific set of frames. The owner Jo responded saying she'll get them in at no charge and put them aside for me. Owner there and checked them out, got another eye test with the in-house optometrist, then sorted out prescriptions, and done. No fuss, exemplary service, and a really neat place to just see how rad you look in some fun glasses whilst you check the store out. PS. I had to really restrain myself to only put two eye references in this review.
