Within five minutes of arriving, we heard what sounded like a toilet flush--but didn't think much of it. Moments later, water started pouring from upstairs, flooding the bathroom and flowing down the stairs.Total panic set in. We had no idea how to shut off the water and scrambled to find help. It was a Sunday, and after calling nearly 20 plumbers, Cook's Plumbing was the only one who answered. Not only did they respond--Ryan, the owner, and his wonderful wife Shannon drove two hours to come help us. Ryan quickly shut off the water and returned the next day with the part needed to complete the repair. Their kindness, professionalism, and urgency were beyond anything I've experienced. If I lived in Texas permanently, I wouldn't call anyone else. I rarely leave reviews, but I had to share this with fellow Texans: this company is top of the line. In today's world, customer service like this is almost unheard of. Having owned and managed many rental properties, I can confidently say I've never received the level of care and quality that Cook's Plumbing provided. They are the best plumbers, let alone service providers we have found in our area so far... if you are looking for an amazing plumber, no need to keep looking. They are the ones! Even better than that, they will answer the phone! If they can't take your call right away, they will call you back or text you instead of just letting the phone ring (love that!) or letting it go to a voice mail box that is full (how many times does that happen to you?!?). He found a few items we need to address over the next few months to prepare for this summer's heat. He carefully explained what repairs need to be done showed us where these problems existed. He also gave us a couple of options for moving forward. The estimates were thoroughly explained. We feel more than comfortable with his recommendations.

The man who came to fix the leak didn't know how to find the leak. He made 7 holes in my walls. I paid him 2400.00 to fix the leak . He informed me at the end that Alco doesn't fix holes . I would have to get a sheetrock man. Then he said he could fix it but it would cost 350. He came when he got off work each day and made a huge mess. This went on for about a week. I finally found someone else who would come back and fix it for me. He did a beautiful job, but that cost another 900.00. Not to mention the job turned out to NOT be a 2400.00 job like they estimated. I would have much rather paid by the hour. Live and learn.

After three calls into HomeServe, they finally got in touch with a plumber on Monday morning and were able to get us a possible appointment for the following Wednesday. After going all weekend with no running water, we started making calls ourselves. After about a dozen calls to different plumbers within about a 30-mile-radius of us, Martin Services was one of the only plumbers to answer their phone, and was the only company that agreed to service our area - the same day. Ernie repaired our burst pipe and had our water back on for us in roughly 30 short minutes!!! THANKS AGAIN, ERNIE!!! We will 100% be recommending Martin Services to everyone we know.
