Caring professional staff, reasonable costs for services. Cremains were ready before we expected. Highly recommend.

Body was already at funeral home, and was quoted an astronomical price that was simply out of our budget. Informed Heath and Vaughn that we had no choice but to go with the place that was exponentially cheaper, and asked how much we owe for services rendered (storage of the body etc., had been less than 24hr). Charles Vaughn then completely changed his persona and became angry and went on to ask, "how could we go with someone else when he would be doing the same things". In explaining our financial situation, he then said "you won't even know if you're getting the right body back!" and hung up on me. He hung up me. After watching my loved one die in front of my eyes, unexpectedly less than 24 hours previous, this man says this to me and hangs up on me. I cannot convey the depths of sorrow that I have been in since my loved one died, and no one should ever have to be treated like this at any time. Let alone by someone in the BUSINESS of bereavement. This man has zero sympathy and does not deserve any business. Edit 1: Later that day when WE had to call back AGAIN (they never called to apologize for hanging up on us) to ask about cost of services rendered thus far, we spoke with some assistant who acted as if he had no idea about the exchange with regard to earlier. (Yeah right) At the conclusion of the conversation this person casually mentions that my loved ones body has been sent back to the morgue in the hospital where they died. THEY NEVER CALLED TO INFORM US! APPALLING!

I felt they tried to upsell me on everything and were not at all flexible about making changes I want to do it without charging me a lot of money, even very early in the process. They also told me they would try to have the items I selected for the crypt on it in two months, which is when I wanted to intern him. I checked the day before to make sure everything was ready and they assured me it would be, because his sister was traveling a couple of hundred miles for the internment. When we got there, the only thing on the crypt was a sticker with the time that we would be there. The crypt was not open so that we could not put his remains inside. Nothing else was on the crypt so I couldn't put the flowers I brought in the vase I ordered. I took his remains to the office, which is what they told me they expected to do and they would open the trip later and put him in. their definition of being ready was that they had someone ready to open the crypt after we left. They knew we were having a ceremony, but what kind of ceremony can one have with a closed, blank crypt? It's now been nearly 5 months since I purchased the crypt and the insignia on it and it's still blank. I found them very expensive for very poor service.

My father passed in early July. Due to family travel issues we arranged for services to be July 31st for a visitation and August 1st for a graveside. Both our funeral home and the cemetery were notified at that time. We had no issues with the funeral home, the entire operation there worked like a well-oiled machine. What a contrast to the cemetery. Although they were aware of my father's passing and his pre-arrangement, I was notified one day prior to the graveside service that his space had been double sold. Not only that, there was already a resident in his space. I feel for the young man who had to break that news to me for he was probably only in high school when this happened, but the fact remains that this is inexcusable. Money was accepted, contracts were signed and now squatters occupy my father's final resting place. We're in a quandry as to what should occur next, but I cannot stress enough the need to stay away from predatory operations such as this.
