I called this company last week and they told me they would be here on Monday morning at 9am to fix my broken pipe. I waited until 1230pm on Monday as nobody showed up and left them a message. They NEVER pick up the phone when you call them, not even the owner Chris when I call his cell phone. He said his employee called in sick and would come out Tuesday between 2-4pm. Tuesday at 415pm, I call him again and once again no answer at the business or his cell phone. Looks like this is a pattern of poor communication and customer service. Stay away from this company. I had evergreen come out to do an estimate for drainage and irritation install in July. Chris, the owner, said that I was picking a great time to do the work because I'd have plenty of time to overseed and fix the damage to the yard when they were done. I paid the deposit to get work started and then waited. And waited. And waited. No response to calls or emails asking when work would start. I was getting ready to take action against them when they showed up at my house and started digging. It was 2 months after I sent them money. It was already after I wanted to overseed. The work was estimated to take about a week. 3 weeks later, they were finally done. The yard was torn up. I didn't have enough time to fix it on the fall. I winterized the system, myself, because I didn't want to send more money to evergreen for work that might, eventually, get done. In the spring, I turned my system on and started seeding to fix all of the damage that was still left over. Now, it's May. My system sprung a significant leak between the irrigation meter that the city installed and a PVC valve that evergreen installed. Evergreen won't fix it under warranty because I didn't winterize with them. They want at least $300 to fix it... In a couple weeks. This company has terrible communication. They have terrible time estimates. And now it's become apparent that they don't stand behind their work. Stay far away from these guys. It's not worth spending your hard earned money on this many headaches. read more

Great work, awful customer service after the job concerning warranty. A dishonest employee who told us one thing then denied it to the owner cost us $150 in a service call that resulted in nothing being resolved. We have recommended this company many times but will no longer. read more

I rely on Evergreen for everything, they do a fantastic job. They are very trustworthy and reasonably priced. Can't recommend them enough.

I had selected them for a major project includes retaining wall , paver and fencing which cost me lil less 20K . They are not cheap compared to other estimation I had , I selected them as Chris sounded very professional , Myxpectation was if they charge premium cost , there after service will be best but its totally opposite. during final payment on last day of project Chris promise me he will take care of issue with Drainage in neighbors yard due to drain pipe from retaining wall . but after that I didn't get any response even after regular follow-up for approx. 3- 4 months After my neighbor complain about water in there lawn I again tried to reach Chris on 8th month of warranty period To my surprised I receive a estimation of $300. to extend the drain pipe . which should have done initially and Chris did agree to fix it also during final payment . His justification was soil here is clay soil and I have AC drain pipe connected to the drain that's why for water issue ( I had paid them extra to take care of drainage from AC condensation during the project) . I would expect a local landscape company should know about it soil condition when working on major projects. Advise : I will not recommend them after this experience but If for some reason you decided to work with them make sure u get every thing done before final payment else you will never get that done. They will always find your fault. read more

Superior service. I needed my irrigation system started up for the first time after several years on not using. The Evergreen tech (Jeremy) came out as was scheduled. He found a few problems (control box, electricity issue, broken valve and head) and replaced them all. I happened to have the time to be with him throughout the whole process, he explained the issues, I saw each of them, as he went along and he very diligently worked non-stop to get it resolved. STAY AWAY!! I contracted this company to install a retaining wall in my backyard. They destroyed the sod in my front yard by staging the blocks (on pallets and scattered) on the grass. When their tomcat did function, it caused drainage damage to the side of my house. There was a change to the design and the owner (Chris) said it would cost more. I specifically asked how much more because I had a budget. He said he would let me know when the original blocks ran out. I waited and waited. I asked a second time. He said he would get back with me. Two weeks later, I get an invoice emailed to me. I was shocked and disappointed. There were unresolved issues with the drainage and the soil was running off. His solution was to put down grass seeds twice. I was tired of dealing with this guy and his games. Not returning calls, texts or emails. I hired a landscaper to fix his shortcomings and deducted that amount from final payment. This clown sends me an email saying, "The warranty is null and void." I filed complaints with the BBB and the NC DOJ. STAY AWAY!! read more

Terrible experience getting an irrigation system installed. Slow to complete the job, little to no communication, unprofessional. Mistakes doing the job, including breaking a pipe causing water to spew out for 24 hours until WE stopped it, because we were unable to get in touch with them. Trash left in yard. read more

Evergreen did some landscaping, drainage driveway & sidewalk overhaul for us. Our plants are thriving. The new and improved driveway and sidewalks look great. The re-seeding around the concrete work is very good. The drainage re-routing done with the driveway works very well. I thought they did a very good job. read more

Not happy with the service at all. There are many concerns that are too lengthy to go into. I will only touch on one. I am in the process of hiring another company to fix the damage they did to our backyard. They did not repair our yard after construction of our patio and wall. Our drainage comes out the top of the yard (which is on a hill), down the middle causing a mud ravine during each rain. When I expressed concern the response was 'you had a budget'. A professional should educate the consumer on what would occur if the drainage would be placed in an inappropriate spot. That was not done. And our budget was not mentioned when I asked to enlarge the patio. We received a lot of excuses, all that made us feel like it was OUR fault. We are middle class, of course we have a budget, but we also have expectations. My expectation for a 3ft wall (approx 9ft) costing $1400 is safe. The wall began to fall over and lean into our deck. The stones could be removed easily. It took two times for them to return and restack the wall with glue. And my wall looks nothing like the pictures in the portfolio. There are odd size stones and gaps between the stones. Seeing the portfolio pictures depress me because that is what I expected to get after paying that amount of money. Other landscapers have taken pictures of my wall to add to their 'wall fail portfolio' to show potential customers. I have thought about seeking support from news troubleshooters just to share my correspondence and pictures of this process. I hope potential customers truly look elsewhere for landscape services. I would give anything to have my money back and restart this entire process with someone else. read more

Stay away from this company. I shared what we needed done with Gloria and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate a week out. Due to the 11-1 arrival window, I took a personal day as we needed to get this landscaping work done. At 12:50....10 minutes left in my window mind you...I get a call from Chris asking me to explain the services we needed. After I shared, he said they weren't interested in the job. Just.like.that. He had over a week to decide that and I could have found a more suitable match but after wasting my day he couldn't even be bothered to come out and see the job. I am livid that I wasted HOURS waiting for this company, blew a personal day and the response from Chris was complete disregard. Gloria is so kind and will make you want to schedule with this company but do not. I am going to post my experience on EVERY platform I find their name on. Great service , but Very Expensive and way over priced . Buy parts your self or you will be charged +200% times the original cost. Also beware , they will say for example, "$200 includes installation" but then you get billed for $200 for parts and another for labor !!! read more
