Maybe cause it's a Friday-- I mean who doesn't love Fridays, huh?! Today I was on the hunt for a leather belt and a designer bag but only found a belt which was more than I expected. I wasn't sure I was going to find a leather belt here but thought since it's the "fanciest" place the springs has to offer-- why not check anyway. I was pleasantly surprised when I found a beautiful all leather belt in my size-- it was a fashion miracle! I got the last small at $15 and you definitely can't beat that price. I think it's made by Halogen which is a pretty sturdy and classic brand. Any who, I made it out with a fabulous purchase and so very pleased about that and it was also nice to see friendly faces when being checkout at the registers. They're specifically lower quality items that were manufactured to go directly to the outlet at a higher price than what they're worth, then a tag is added to show you the "original price" so you feel like you're getting a deal. You can take one look at the quality and know you're not getting a Nordstrom item.

As I selected a few clothes, she took them and staged them for me in a dressing room. When I approached the dressing room, my name was written all fancy-like on a cute door-mounted marker board. While I was trying on clothes, she checked on me to see if I needed anything. Although I didn't buy anything, I wanted to write this post to say how impressed I was with the customer service. The have 2 different sections, tiny chick and thicker chicks (they don't call it that but I think they should!). Each section has all the same items but they are just different sizes and I love the way they make us thicker chicks feel like we are no different. Bought a few too many items but love them all. The only thing about this place that I would change, the customer service... while very nice, there is such a thing as too much help!! It's a small store and there were about 5 girls working and each and every one of them came up to me at least 2 times each to see if I needed help in the very short time I was shopping. I gathered that they must work on commision when they asked me at check out who was helping me... um, EVERYONE! Again, they were very nice but seriously, maybe just one or two greet and check on, one time only. Also, not a lot of people want to discuss clothes. I have no events, I'm not looking for something in particular, I just want to shuffle through these clothes racks and grab everything that speak to me... silently... the clothes! Either you are hounded by sales people trying to push clothing on you to get a sale or you are treated like your patronage doesn't matter. I figure since it's a chain it should be the same service everywhere but sadly that is not the case. Today I came to do an exchange and I couldn't tell who worked here and I was approached only after I picked up a few items to try on. As I started browsing the shorts section I was asked what my size was and when I gave the sales girl my answer she was shocked. She insisted I was a 25 even though my size is between 28-29 depending on the brand. I asked if their jeans ran big and she couldn't give me a straight answer. She hands me a size 25 in jeans and that waist was itty bitty and I knew it wouldn't fit me. I politely said I can tell just by looking at something if it will fit or not and she literally said; "well I know too". Who answers a customer like that? I didn't want to argue and handed the jeans back because I am a true size 6 and not trying to squeeze my a** into a size zero. Anywho I was about to walk out the store but decided to keep my cool and just try on the items in my dressing room. All I can say about the sizes at Buckle is that they are all over the place. I tried on a black pair of jeans size 26 and they were a little tight on me. Then I tried on size 27 shorts and they were huge. Then I tried on a size 25 shorts and they fit just fine yet size jeans looked like a size 1 and it's very confusing. I left with the only pair of shorts that fit which were 25's but normally that is not my size. Another thing I find strange is that the sales girl never came to my dressing room to ask if I needed help thus I ended up getting the sizes I needed myself. I don't understand what's the point in working on commission if you're not even helping your customers. This was a pretty disappointing shopping experience to say the least and I seriously don't intend on coming back to this location. Buckle at Chapel Hills Mall is an absolutely no and I do not recommend them.
