Our Favorite Tattoo Shop! I got my first tattoo here and it was a deeply memorable experience. There is a very friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in, with a great music selection to listen too. My tattoo artist took his time listening to and drawing my idea and it turned out 100x better than I imagined. When it came time to tattoo, I barely felt anything at all. I was amazed! My artist was very receptive to my input and made me feel so comfortable. I could not imagine a better experience for a first tattoo. So it's been two years and im still not over it so I am wrtiting my review. In August of 2021 (peak pandemic) my husband thinking he was being romantic went out and bought me a $400 gift certificate from Everett Tattoo Emporium as he knew I wanted to get a tattoo for my birthday. He worked hard for that money and it was an incredibly sweet gesture on his part. I was so excited, went to their website and called to book an appointment. I was told to reach out to the artist on Instagram. Okay I thought, rather than talking to a direct person and scheduling an appointment I had to download a social media app to contact a service provider. I reached out to ALL of the artists and the first one to get back to me is who I scheduled with. Shai, met me at the appointment a few minutes late. I was excited and a little nervous as tis was a new experience for me. I showed her several images of what I was considering and she told me she didn't do pinteresty stuff, which I found incredibly offensive! I did NOT find my tattoo idea on pinterest. I have also been looking forward to getting this tattoo for 20 freakin years. Rather than litsen to me and what I was hoping to get out of it she assured me she was an artist and could create a masterpiece for me although that wasn't what I was looking for. She informed me that she NEVER shows clients the tattoo until the day of the appointment. I told her that felt extreme as tattoos are permanent and it is a big decision. She told me that's how it works. I left feeling incredibly unsettled. Next week, she cancels my appointment saying her prior client was going over time. I said okay, I understand can you at least send me a picture of the tattoo...she reminded me that only on the day of. After feeling incredibly unsettled and put off I decided to call every other shop near my home. After speaking with MULTIPLE shops and basically everyone I know with tattoos and everyone I came across with tattoos I was advised that I should go somewhere else. So I called the shop asked to speak with the manager, of course the front desk wanted to know why I was calling. I didn't want to share as I assumed that I would be the talk of the shop, a customer asking for a refund for a tattoo gift certificate had NEVER happened before. Sure enough, the manager called me and was SO perplexed about why I would have an issue with not wanting to trust a permanent thing on my body with someone who didn't listen to me, insulted my ideas, and basically blew me off. I reiterated that I didn't feel comfortable trusting her to tattoo me when I didn't even know what the tattoo was! I had been so excited as I said, been waiting 20 freaking years for this. The manager was nice, although he informed me that they didn't refund gift certificates and he could try to help me out. I assured him that I had already messaged HIM and all other active artists in the shop without a response. Who has to chase down people to do work and get paid?! He sat on it over the weekend and called me back as he seemed concerned that this could "go badly" his words. I had already contacted someone else at another shop who drew up my tattoo and already had me on the books for the following week. So with all this being said, I have NEVER felt more angry or disgusted with an experience where I was given a GIFT. It has been two freaking years and I still feel cheated out of a hard earned gift that I never recieved. Learning lesson for myself and my husband to do our research before trusting an establishment such as this. Still have the gift certificate if anyone wants it...oh wait...it probably has expired. This company who did NOTHING for us other than cause me tears and hours of stress and anxiety got 400 dollars of my family's hard earned money. Shame on them and I would NOT recommend ANYONE come here. read more

I needed a last minute walk-in appointment because it was my birthday and I wanted a tattoo. I wasn't even sure exactly what I wanted but I wanted some sort of tree. I called at least 10 different shops in the area and was told over and over again that no walk-ins were accepted or that they were booked. I was super sad because I definitely wanted a tattoo THAT day. I finally called Everett Tattoo Emporium because I drive by there pretty regularly and happenned to be driving by while I was trying to think of more shops to call. Beetle answered and said that he would love to have me as a walk-in and would Love to do a tattoo on me. When I came in, I still hasn't decided what I wanted. I finally chose to get a palm tree, and beetle came up with a few designs he liked and also let me look at some of his other work. Went to Everett Tattoo Emporium and had the first session done. Came back a month later like I was told too and they legitimately said we fired the artist. So I asked can y'all pay me back or finish my tattoo. Mind you all that's left is coloring and shading. Wel they proceeded to tell me no they can't it's up to me to figure it out and I even asked for the tattoo artists name they refused to enclose that as well. Don't go to this tattoo shop unless you wanna hear excuses why my hard earned money was basically taken from me and no consequences where delt. On my world we call that stealing Please share this so we can inform other future customers of where to go and where to not go. Nobody should get stolen from under any circumstance. We walked in to the shop on a Monday afternoon after being disappointed by Hot Rod Heidi's aka Sunken ship tattoo's lack of piercers on Monday's (no harm no foul we still love them!) Sometimes a lady or three of us to be exact need a spur of the moment piercing and Johan was happy to help. He was so informative and so kind and so easy to work with. At no point during questions did he act condescending or elitist. We had three different types of piercings to be done and he cleaned thoroughly after each one, was very efficient and then explained after care very precisely. Tony has done all 4 of my pieces. I started my collection when I was 18 and I am now 22. My biggest piece is the Cherry Blossoms on my left arm, the start to my sleeve. Tony came in on his day off to work on me because it was the only time slot I had for the next month. 5 hours he put up with me and my squirming. Always making sure I was drinking water and had plenty of fresh air breaks. I miss the old location because of how grungy and stereotypical it was. I came in today as a walk-in to get some semi-spontaneous piercings with a friend. The shop was clean, the environment was chill, and Johan knew his art. He walked me through the process of piercing my septum as he did it, educated me on both jewelry and aftercare, and was all around a nice and professional dude. He even described how he works with the asymmetrical properties of the face to make things look right - my nose is totally asymmetrical and the fact that he understood how to work with it was great. I am blown away by his thoroughness, from the act of cleaning now vs. after the piercing has started to heal, all the way to product recommendations and answering questions about other products I've seen advertised for aftercare. Went in to get a double nose piercing and Craig was available right away. I have plenty of piercings and tattoos but for some reason I get light headed whenever getting piercing. And I am a heavy bleeder. Craig was very patient with me and talked me through the entire process. The piercing came out GREAT! He is very knowledgable in his craft and thoroughly explained the cleaning process and even wrote down my after care instructions. I had my nipples pierced here prior as well but they were done by Tony. Process went smoothly and my healing turned out great! Shop is clean and they are very friendly! I've gone to Tony for two tattoos, two piercings and just recently got another piercing by Johan. But I also follow some of the other artists on Instagram like Catfish. I've never had any negative feelings about this shop. Very professional, incredible work. Tony did a cover up for me as well as tattooed my Nana's hand writing. He did such an incredible job. I'm also a huge wimp when it comes to tattoos and he is so calming and great at helping you through it. I've come to notice that some tattoo artist laugh at you when you wince or cry. Tony is the complete opposite. I just went the other day with my best friend to get belly button piercings by Johan. I have 6 piercings and other than the one by Tony I've never had a better piercing experience. Johan was incredibly knowledgable about the piercing, what could happen, what to use etc. My best friend was SUPER nervous about piercing over scar tissue and he took the time to calm her down, explain exactly what will happen and make her feel more comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough about the experience. He is an incredible piercer and I definitely will go back to him for any new piercings and send everyone I know to him. I've been tattooed and pierced at five other shops and now will never go anywhere else. This shop has been around for a long time for a reason. I promise you won't be disappointed!! read more
