Recently finding that she has a current exhibition, Portals and Passages, at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara, especially so close to home, of course I'm there. My faves were "Tales from Alhambra" in the Terra series and "The Spectrum of Place" among the Prism collection. But the interactive artworks were intriguing as well, particularly the Reflection Reservoir allowing visitors to engage in "social magic" through the drop of a coin symbolizing their dreams, desires, and pieces of wisdom, with beautiful ceramic temple sculptures at each corner of the room representing the different archives. It's free to view all of the lovely pieces in the museum's John & Eve Mathias Gallery, on display for a limited time. You can even meet the artist on site and learn more about her works if you attend one of her talks or walk-through events scheduled through the end of April 2025.

I also needed a custom qi pao made, so I showed her a few designs that I was ok with, and she showed me a more modern design that I ended up really liking! My friends and family loved it. I don't like too much glitter or sparkle and she completely understood my style and vibe and didn't pressure me into anything. She'll also be honest about what's flattering on you and not, which I appreciate. She does have traditional Chinese wear rentals, but if I remember correctly, it's the qun kwa style. Definitely recommend her if you need your wedding dress altered or a custom qi pao made!

We needed a 1.50" metal flex conduit run through our crawlspace which was very tight. We had other…read morequotes that went up to $1,700 to trench out areas in our crawlspace just to access the entry point from the garage and run the same conduit. After reviewing a video I took of the crawlspace, Mike was able to come in, assess the crawlspace, and devise method of getting the conduit in, securing it with brackets provided by the electrician. Mike gave a more reasonable estimate and got the job done in little over 2 hours vs. the other estimate of 4-8 hours. We'll definitely use Mike again.

Armando responded immediately and was enthusiastic about doing this project, even though it's a little out of the box compared to what he's posted. Armando met me close to my home in Oakland to pick up the parts. He finished them in about five days. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the work; the price was also competitive. When I picked up the parts in Pittsburgh, Armando invited me into his shop and showed me all his projects and workspace. It was pretty cool to see how the process works, and he was very personable.
