This place is under new management. It was formerly called "Spice Lagoon Kashmir," and it's in the small village of Sixmillbridge just a few miles from the Bunratty Castle. Craving some Indian food, we went there on a Saturday night and found only one other table occupied while we were there, but they had many "take aways."
We sat down for dinner and, noticing the small tulip shaped wine glasses, asked if they had wine by the glass. He said "No, only by the bottle, but don't worry they have screw tops." What's up with that? We went for tea and tap water to drink and they lost a sale.
Ambiance: once you arrived, not bad really. The interior was pleasant, if a bit tired, and they played Indian music. They suffer from the common malady in Indian restaurants: lack of female employees and thus lack of a female touch.
The meal itself? Quite nice actually. We had chicken jalfrezi, a dish I've just recently discovered, and it was excellent and fairly hot. And lamb vindaloo which was not quite as good and extremely hot.
The prices? Expensive, I thought. For the above two meals, rice & tea, the cost was 32 Euros - that's over $45.
Overall, a pleasant experience. To me, it's about 3 1/2 stars, but the ho-hum entry & ambiance, together with the pricing, lead me to rate it at 3. read more
