My hesitation for hiring a family photographer was that I wasn't sure if they could adequately capture my family's emotions and the feelings that I wanted them to. I can't believe I waited so long to have family portraits. When I found Ever After's website, I was immediately touched by the emotion I could feel in those pictures. I didn't just see family pictures; I saw that these people loved each other. I wanted that for my family. So with a little trepidation since I'd never done this before, I contacted and spoke to Mindy. Immediately it felt like I was talking to an old friend. She got to know a bit about my family, and made me think about the little things about my son and daughter that I love but didn't realize I was taking for granted. After talking to Mindy, my husband bought me flowers out of the blue and told me he appreciated me! The day of the session, we were excited for it, even the kids. We had a blast, and spent the rest of the day together as a family. When we came back for our ordering appointment and saw the slideshow she put together, I'm not ashamed to say I cried, and my husband got a little choked up too. Needless to say, we ended up with sensational portraits for our living room wall and then collections for my son's and daughter's rooms. That wasn't enough though; there were just too many favorites, so we also got an album. I just had to share this experience because if you're anything like me, actual professional family portraits isn't something you think about much. But my kids are growing up! I called to get a price and set up a session time... my first call I was told the photographer would call me to go over everything....after almost a week I called them back and finally spoke to the photographer. She "interviewed" me asking questions which sounded like they came off a form for almost 2 hours!!! I told her I was running out of time and just wanted to book a session time after I finally got a price of a very reasonable 250... I was then told she wanted to set up a time to do a pre photo session interview and then wanted to know how much I was going to spend in photos....When I told her I wasn't expecting to spend 6-7 hundred I was told I wasn't a good fit..... Way to waste my time!!!! read more

I do not recommend this photography team. They are mostly focused on up selling you and did not provide all photos taken at my wedding held NYE 2014 at the Sheraton by the Pentagon because I gave a negative review on wedding wire. I have to take them to small claims court unfortunately. The pictures were no better than the service received. If I had read the extra reviews not shown or factored into the yelp rating, I would not have used them. No do overs on weddings :-( read more

I have never felt strongly enough to rate anyone on Yelp, until now. These photographers are really nice. They will do a really nice job taking photos of you, your family, or whomever the subjects of your photos. In our particular situation we found them through a Groupon. Between the time I purchased the Groupon and the time we received our photographs I received about 15 e-mails from them, which included multi-page, required surveys. While I appreciate their attention to detail it seemed a bit excessive; we weren't taking wedding photographs, just family portraits. One e-mail in particular launched into an angry tirade about a client of theirs that had showed up to the "viewing" in designer clothes but protested at paying their prices. What their e-mail failed to mention was that their prices are ludicrous....no matter how much money you have, no one appreciates being ripped off. But what bothered me most was how they treated this client - they made her a cautionary tale for future clients. That should have been an indicator for how they would treat me at my "viewing" (which they charge for as well, this is just to LOOK at the pictures they took of you, instead of providing you with an online gallery like normal photographers). In my situation I had to tell them, that on top of JUST having had our second child, I had been laid off. Their reaction was APPALLING. Instead of indicating one ounce of sympathy they appeared highly irritated that I would not be spending anywhere near the $1,000 to $5,000 they had apparently expected of me. So buyer beware, they will make you feel like you are working for them, not the other way around, and as far as their prices are concerned, they can only be perceived as greedy. It costs $.20 to print a photo on Snapfish.com, and no, Ever After's photos are not any higher in quality (that I can tell). Unless you want to spend $1,000s of dollars on paper and ink, save yourself an uncomfortable sales experience. read more
