From the start, he proved to be an incredible DJ--professional, fun, and easy to work with. Throughout my career, I've continued to hire Joe for a variety of events, from corporate parties and exclusive private gatherings to large-scale live events. He has an exceptional ability to read a crowd, create the perfect atmosphere, and bring an event to life. Beyond his talent behind the decks, Joe is reliable, adaptable, and well-equipped to handle any technical challenges that may arise. I've also recommended him to some of my closest friends for their weddings, and they've always been thrilled with his work. If you're looking for a skilled, professional, and experienced DJ who knows how to elevate any event, I highly recommend Vancouver DJ Company.

Could not be more thrilled with how it went. Our original contact left soon after we started planning the event but Anya stepped in and guided us through the whole process. She was so patient with all of our questions/phone calls and willing to work with our ideas to make this a truly memorable and personal event for our daughter's and our guests. The chef was able to work with our specific food requests and designed a menu that we wanted and within our budget. The quality and presentation of everything was spot on. From the second we arrived on the night of the event, everything was perfect. From the set up of the room, to the food, to the bar. We wouldn't change a thing (except to maybe have had time slow down)! Thank you to Anya and to all of the staff at The Diamond Ballroom for making our event so wonderful.

Open and bright with their large windows and the patio with the Vancouver skyline is icing on the cake. Our wedding had around 200 guests and the space allowed us to host everyone comfortably, and since a large majority of our guests were from out of town, they were very impressed with the view this venue provides. By booking with Diamond, they also provide you with a day-of coordinator. Stacy and Anya were awesome to work with. I currently live in Calgary so everything was done via e-mail or phone. I never had to wait long to get a response back any time I had questions or concerns. As most weddings would have problems, we encountered a few hiccups the day of our wedding as well, but these ladies being professionals that they are, took care of everything while they instructed me to eat and relax downstairs until everything is sorted out for the wedding party entrance. Note that they do in house catering - but the chef there knows what he's doing. We met with him for our tasting menu and he was very attentive and took down notes on anything that needed to be tweaked. The food was delicious and we received a lot of compliments - which is huge for a wedding. Lastly, a tip for any couple that are planning their wedding in 2016 and on wards. We lucked out because the day of our wedding was the Celebration of Lights opening. Stacy said that sometimes depending on the way the fireworks are set up, you can either see a bit of it from their patio or all of it. We lucked out and at 10pm that night, all our guests were able to watch the entire fireworks show from China (who spent millions, I'm sure), which was something that I'm sure our guests will never forget. Thanks Diamond Ballroom!! We were so lucky to have our wedding reception there and all of your staff made it extremely memorable for us. We'll be sending out lots of referrals any time we can!

We set up a meeting with Bobby the owner of GQ productions and he had great ideas for us, what we needed to do, where to start, how to work within our budget. We left that meeting with high hopes and excitement on what we needed to do and hired Bobby on the spot. Bobby stayed in contact as the months came closer to our wedding, informing us of ideas on how to make everything run smoothly on the day of. Even a couple weeks before the actually wedding we added last minute ideas Bobby was a great help in designing this and making our last minute idea come to life. Bobby was more then just a dj, he designed our reception with these amazing LED lights which made the room pop and set a tone of elegance. We asked Bobby to be our MC as well because he could speak Spanish and half the guest could only speak Spanish so he would say it in English and then Spanish for our guest which really added a personal touch for our out of town guest on making them feel welcome. Bobby had the dance floor hoping all night, he really paid attention to all the guest's choices and made sure it was alway full. Weeks later everybody is still talking about our wedding day and how they dance all night and had the most amazing time! We want send a BIG thank you to Bobby at GQ production for helping us plan our big day and making our day stress free and which was one of the greatest days of our lives this far!!! The wedding was canceled due to Covid (the planning service fee of $6000 was paid separately), and no flower décor were ever provided. Alfresco Tonight is described best by the creators as: "Alfresco brings together old friends, with new, celebrating great food, public space, spontaneity, and surprise. In a flash mob fashion, diners meet, set up, share food, and dismantle. The location is kept secret till the evening prior. Part slow food, part art installation, Alfresco is an urban curiosity." The creators of Alfresco are aiming to encourage local consumption, a heightened appreciation of the outdoors, increased community together-ly-ness, delicious eating, and sustainability via the 'leave no trace' motto. Find me something NOT to love about this concept. The most recent Alfresco night took place at the Davie Street community garden. Little tea lights glimmered while folks from all walks chatted merrily amongst autumn leaves. Some were even able to boast about the fruits of their own garden plot. Something about bringing people together in this way is just really wonderful. How often do you share a meal with someone new, or eat something totally unheard of only to find out it's manna. All this while gaining a deeper appreciation for the city and those locally sourced items that can be found right at our fingertips? So what do you say, Halifax? Who wants to try this Van based trend and picnic with me? :) ps: this event is free other than the cost of creating your own pot-latch style dish!
